DraftDodger (1625) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - AUG 9, 2017
Copenhagen 9/8-2017. 50 cl bottle from Skjold Burne. Drawing of dude from the seventies looking quite plastered on the label. Sipping a mug mug of beer of course. Pours hazy orange with small white head. Settles as thin patchy layer of foam. No lacing. Aroma is pretty strong. Marzipan, alcohol with a sharp sour tang. Whiff of humid basement. Light carbonation with thick oily palate. Flavor is heavy sweet. Followed by medium bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet marzipan and alcohol. Quite the sweet bomb with a punch.

Look; off white film on hazy dark golden orange body. Aroma; fruits, grass, hops, dust. Taste; hops, citrus, tropic fruits, dough, wheaty malty sauce - leading to a fruity doughy finish. Alright on palate. Overall tasty, could’ve been more fruits. [50cl brown bottle, abv8%, BB120417, [email protected] Middelfart DK]

Bottled. Golden colour with a mediumsized white head. Aroma is sweet malts, some fruits, a bit gluelike sweetness as well as some slight grains and alcohol sweetness to it. Flavour is rather similar. Especially the flavour has the elements needed in a Tripel, but on the other hand this beer fails to bring the elements together into something nice.

9,9,8,9,7,9 - 8,75 - 18/9/13
