It has a beautiful and very dark brown with a reddish tinge. It is adjacent to the black, but I think that one could imagine the little reddish as it becomes poured. The foam is beautifully light brown, persistent, but not particularly thick crown. It has a clear scent of dark malts and a little yeast mixed with light hops. The taste is slightly mocha and distinctly English licorice. Later felt the hard roasted malt with lots of caramel tones. Only slightly hoppy concludes. Licorice is the most prominent and persistent taste, also in the final. Good, rich mouth feeling tendency to be a little creamy.

Black beer with off brown head. The aroma is filled with licorice but has a freshness as well, mostly because of the medium carbonation. Which by the way is a great match for the taste, that furthermore has notes ofnice roasted malt.

Bottle, Pingus Imperial Stout. Very dark brown with frothy tan head. Malty, roasted aroma, slightly fruity with hints of coffee. Flavour has licorice and coffee bitterness. Creamy mouthfeel. Finish is dry, bitter and a little rough.

75 cl. corked bottle. Pitch black with a dense, tan head that slowly fades. Extra credits for the penguins on the bottle! Aroma with lightly roasted malts, coffee, dark dried fruis and bits of chocolate. Taste is light sweet. Medium body, creamy texture and soft carbonation. Finishes bitter and smooth, with a good amount of chocolate. Rather nice for a Ørbæk beer.

One of the better beers from this brewery. Dark, smooth, nice and bitter. Persistant head. Very handsome beer.
