nybol (1765) - DENMARK - MAR 13, 2016
Mums!

Roughly frothy red ales that are not readily have many similarities with an Irish red ale. But perhaps that is not the intention, but just something I expected. Good aroma of caramel with fruity undertones. The taste reflects the clear sweet caramel tones with slightly fruity touch of peach or something like that. Good hops balance that highlights the malt rich tones in the beer, leaving little room for an off-flavor of nuts. Actually a very delicate ale.

Bottle split two ways. Amber pour with a frothy head. Notes of caramel, vanilla, malty sweetness, grains and some syrup.

djoeye (4605) - Tromsø, NORWAY - AUG 28, 2015
Look; off white huge head, dark amber clear body. Aroma; heap of mild fruit peels and caramel, dough, white bread. Taste; brown malts, hops, malted candies, apple peels, grapefruit peels - leading to a finish with sweet roasted malts and notes of the peels. On palate normal and soft, dry’ish. Overall; nice and soft for it’s style, quite tasty. [50cl brown bottle, abv5%, BB151215, [email protected] Middelfart DK]

Bottle @ friends/whisky loge. Appearance: pours clear reddish amber with ok off-white soapy head and lacing. aroma/taste: barley, grass, bread and berry notes. palette: medium aroma, average carbonation, medium body, average sweetness, average bitterness, medium duration and a watery texture. Overall: standard red ale.

Nice apperance with dry finish. Diacetyl in taste and aroma. Avoid this beer. Not worth it ...
