Dark brown, bubbly brown head. Dark, harsh chocolate, touch salty, with a rich bitter character, and honestly it’s not bad. So rich, touch husky, and this seems a bit harsh but there’s lots of fun flavours in there.

650ml bottle at Josh's on his 20k party. Bottled on 2016-12-21. Pours a very dark brown with beige head. Aroma is inky, roasted malt, a bit sweet. Similar taste with smokiness, some burnt sugar and a lot of burnt malt. Quite good. mcberko (20930) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAR 18, 2018
22 oz. bottle, pours black with a medium light brown head. Aroma brings out sludgy chocolate, light roasted malt and chalk. Flavour is messy and uncoordinated, with medium roast, some dark fruits and tartness. A bit hot and lacking integration. Not convincing. ricke49 (120) - La Pine, Oregon, USA - SEP 17, 2017
Waited for the first cool fall-like day for this Dec. 2016 bottle. Worth the wait. Black Black with very luxurious head. Satisfyingly thick mouthfeel. Dark roast, chocolate notes. Little or no alcohol burn. Ordnance continues to impress. What a gem of a brewery in the hinterlands of north central Oregon. Hard to believe they've only been producing for 3 years...they've definitely got it 'dailed in' Sarlacc83 (2527) - Portland, Oregon, USA - JUN 2, 2017
A: Black like white isn’t. Mocha head. Legs.
N: Cocoa, soy sauce, coffee, earth, baker’s chocolate, some raisin, peppercorn, black licorice, molasses, ash, burned biscuit.
T: Sweet, very toasty, bitter.
M: Medium body, spritzy carbonation, no alcohol.
O: Solid IRS. Pretty well balanced but super smokey - and not the bacony kind.

Bomber. Pours a jet black color with a medium brown head. A big roasted malt nose. Dark fruit, heavy roast, licorice, sweet caramel, earthy sweet finish. Nutty at times. Loads of flavor. Very drinkable. Impressive beer.
