Malty taste with dark fruit, raisins, herbs and a hint of dark rum. A touch of honey sweetness in the finish. Balanced bitterness. A bit different, but a nice and tasty beer. 50 cl bottle @ Timo A as ”Odstrup Pinse Sol”. Rated on 30.03.2010
Dark brown and a bit reddish colour. Aroma has salty licorice, some perfume and tulips(!). Palate is low on CO2. Flavour has salty licorice and some malt. Somewhat unique.
Slow gusher, managed to control it. Biggish dark brown head. Hazy dark red, nearly opaque body. Fruity honey and peppery spicy aroma with lacquer, cardamom, and pine needle notes. Dry-sweetish peppery fruity licorice and spice taste with cardamom and pine needle notes. Some unpleasant acidity. Mid-bodied. Sharp mouthfeel with considerable alcohol heat. Dry roasty licorice aftertaste with same spice notes. Nice, but marred by what appears to be a mild infection. Poured it out. (0.5l bottle, Ølbutikken, Copenhagen.)

A Mes rate. Bottle as Pinse Sol at Chris O’s "Has anyone seen my stool?" tasting.Emil (6065) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - AUG 19, 2008
Wow, I wasn’t expecting this. The label and name did not exactly have me desperate to taste it. But it was actually much better than the unopened bottle indicated. Semi hazy dark brown coloured with a thin beige head. A really interesting mix of peated malt character giving up some salt and seaweed notes, coupled with some really good smoky caramel. Light phenols and leather too. Decent but swift hit of bitterness in the finish gives way to some pleasing boozy warmth. Nice one.
Bottle. A almost black beer with a hint of red and a big beige head. The aroma and taste is of licorice, citrus, herbs, raisins, roasted malt and alcohol. Medium body with a licorice and alcoholic finish. charlotte (5396) - rødovre, DENMARK - MAY 23, 2008
