Bottle. Amber color with chunks floating in it. The aroma says "sour". The taste is a cross between vinegar and lemon juice. I'm afraid that I got a very old and bad bottle... omhper (24966) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - JUL 30, 2003
Bottled. Amber colour. Grapefruity hop aroma. Clean and dry with unrefined sharp malt character. Salty bitter grapefruity finish. Panzuriel (2199) - Westerville, Ohio, USA - APR 7, 2003
Very agressive bitter tasting brew with strong Hops in the nose and taste. Too hoppy for me, sad to say. Good deep golden color with a good full texture. harlequinn (2744) - Tacoma, Washington, USA - JAN 18, 2003
This is by far my favorite IPA. UnionMade (621) - Connecticut, USA - DEC 22, 2002
Not a bad IPA. Hoppy and intense, with a solid malty backbone. Good balance. A pretty solid american IPA. Rock on, brother.

Reddish golden hue. Fruity and citrusy aromas with sweet malt accents follow through on a medium-bodied palate and a dry, floral finish. A clean, crisp well balanced, and highly quaffable brew. Very enjoyable actually. achtungpv (259) - Austin, Texas, USA - SEP 12, 2002
Only drank this once in college like 6 years ago. Way too bitter for me then, so my rating is from that time. I’ll have to try it again. I’m digging the bitter now baby. Indra (2711) - Suburbia, Kansas, USA - JUL 19, 2002
Very refreshing, nicely balanced IPA. Just the right amount of hoppiness in aroma and taste. Quite a worthwhile beer, but not a classic, necessarily. austinpowers (2828) - New York, New York, USA - JUN 19, 2002
Rather cloudy. Rather solid IPA bitterness. Not bad stuff. Contract brewed? argo0 (14127) - Washington DC, USA - MAY 6, 2002
Solid IPA -- better than I expected given the Sam Adams tie in. Good grapefruit hoppiness in aroma and taste, and solid IPA-bitter aftertaste. Malts are sufficient to prevent imbalance.
