Very sweet for what is labeled as a pilsner. Lots of malts in the flavour with the sweetness only punctured by some hops in the middle. You always expect more sweet malts in a german beer but not when it is packages as a pils. Its tasty but lacks a sharpness or fruitiness to bring it up a notch.

Bottle, Juniper Tree NW3. Very pale yellow colour, white foam. Sweetish malts and a pleasant aromatic floral spicy hop flavour. Only moderate bitterness. With the malt character and limited bitterness not really an austere dry German pils but a nice tasty one.

From bottle at vintage roots tasting. Clear lemon colour, citrus fruit on the nose, hay. Light body. Not a lot to go on

Cimbasso (1090) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - FEB 5, 2015
Sampled from a bottle from Planet Organic. Pale gold colour with a white head. Slightly biscuity malts, mildly grassy hops. Some floral aromas, but this is really quite a bland pilsner. Clean tasting but not very interesting.

Bottled. A light yellow beer with a white head. The aroma has notes of hops and skunky malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of skunky malt and hops, leading to a dry finish. Not impressed with the organic malt.

Bottle at Carnivale Restaurant, whitecross.straw yellow in colour, no head to speak off. Nice malty flavour with a flat hoppy nose. Fairly uneventfull but drinkable.

Bottle. Slightly cloudy with no head. Some citrus flavours with a short finish. Quite crisp and all round not a bad lager.

50cl bottle from Trafalgar Wines, Brighton. Bugger knows where this came from. I mean you walk into a pretty good off licence and find a German beer you’ve never heard of before. Pale gold, crystal clear, thick white foam. Toast on the aroma. It’s a really good lager. I mean none of the faults that you might find in lagers. No puke. Good clean German lager, with some over carbonation, It is very clean and therefore may lack a bit of body, and it could do with some more hops, but it is very clean and crisp and pretty good.

Bottle in Mono. Alround, a good balanced, through slightly on the sweet side, lager, pale biscuity malt and grassy bittering hops. Good carbonation and a nice quencher.
