Sample at the brewpub. This beer pours a cloudy reddish-amber color with a medium thick off-white head that recedes gradually to a film. Partial rings of lace. Aroma of malt, wheat and fruit. Light-bodied with flavors of caramel malt, banana and floral wheat. The finish is sweet with a malty aftertaste. Decent overall.

4 oz. pour, on tap at Clubhouse BFD in Auburn Hills, Michigan. Consumed on 9-27-16. Medium brown with beige head. Nice shade of brown. Chocolatey, bark-like aroma. Chocolate flavor. Nice. Woody finish. A likable beer. A lot of flavor for the style though not particularly complex. Light body. Easy to drink. Good stuff!

Sample draft at the brewery. Pours dark brown with a thin head and nice lacing. Aromas are wheat, nuts, cocoa, banana, and light roast. Taste is very nutty with wheat and light roasted wood. Thin to medium body, a little watery in the abrupt finish. Decent overall.

On tap at Dan's. The pour is a dark reddish brown with a thin off white head and no lace. The aroma is extremely malty with a woody smokiness to it. The flavor is somewhat bracing. Not really what I was expecting. The maltiness comes through, but this baby was definitely not what I was expecting at all ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tap: very deep brown, hard to see through; thin, khaki film fades to a thin collar in no time. Aroma is milk chocolate, soft wheat, and a slightly roasty underbody. Malty & relaxed without being too sweet. Taste is mild chocolate, roasted malts, some faint wheat, and a finishing milky sweetness. Slight earthiness in the aftertaste with more roast and cocoa. Very, very light clove. Relatively simple but a very drinkable and well executed brew. Thin mouth feel & only 4.9% ABV means you can slam these all day. Flavorful.

Had a glass as part of a sampler at the brewery. Malty, doesn’t have much wheat character, but tasty.

Draft. Light nutty malt aroma. Light brown, clear, thin head. Some sweetness, smooth, light body but not thin. Very enjoyable beer.
