COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Cherry Tree cider combines the finest American heirloom apples, which were popular in the United States in the 18th and 19th centuries, with tart cherries. The finished product has the clean, rich flavor of fresh cherries with the depth and elegance that comes from using freshly pressed U.S. heirloom cider apples.

355ml bottle. Clear amber colour, no head. Aroma of apple and cherries, hint of earthy/spicy Christmassy feel about it. Taste is pretty much the same, predominantly apple and with an odd cherry flavour, slightly earthiness. Very dry finish. Medium body and carbonation. Not really my kind of cider.

Floral aroma, no head on pour. Reddish-golden hue. Very clear, minimal bubbles. Taste is mostly cherries and that same floral taste. A touch sticky going down, but doesn’t linger too long on the palate. Serviceable.

Aroma is cherries, apples and light fruit. The flavor is apples, cherries, slight fruit/funk and a mix of mild sweetness and tart in the finish.

I like the tartness that comes from the cherries as it tempers the sweetness. Wish is was a little more of the final blend, but this is pretty well balanced. Body is a touch weak, but not bad. Refreshing.

Bottle.

Light red pour, lingering foam around the very edge of the glass. Nose brings a little bit a funk--could this be a sour cherry wonder like Rev Nat’s Sacrilege? I get excited. But the first quashes that hope. It’s cherry cough syrup, quite sweet, atop a slightly funky, but not funky in a good way, apple cider. Really quite awful. I’m not liking this one bit, and it will follow its pear sibling into my drain.

A little bit of pink on a light iced tea colored brew. A nervous smell of rotting soured apples. Really good initial sizzle and the cherry does come thru on the uptake. Yes, lots of unfermented cherry juice it seems, must be added after ferment. Tartness does come thru a little more as the session continues. This stuff makes me worry a little that it will hurt my tummy if I drink too much. Now the alky starts to stick its little head up. Yes, becomes more volatile on the finish fer sure.

danlo (3234) - Darlington, Durham, ENGLAND - APR 20, 2015
355ml bottle from Beers of Europe. Pinky red colour, white foam head which dissipates away and aroma of apple, black cherries, sugary. Taste is fruity cherry, apple, sweetish, tangy with some vanilla & woody notes. Spritzy mouthfeel, medium bodied, high carbonation, dry tart finish. Quite drinkable.

EtTuCthulhu (1391) - Columbia, Missouri, USA - APR 5, 2015
This cider poured a orangeish pink with a large pinkish head that fades almost instantly. The aroma blends crisp apples, yeast, and a hint of sour cherries, and the taste is quite sweet and slightly sour with tart cherries and sweet apples dominating the aftertaste. The palate has a slick and thin texture, light body, and a soft carbonation.

Rosé pour with a soda-like white head. Sweet cherry juice and apple. Kind of a black cherry soda sort of smell and flavor. There’s a mild acidity to the flavor. Slight yeastiness on the finish. Okay, not spectacularly good or bad
