UPDATED: DEC 22, 2017 Something was up with the bottle I had.. Every time I took a sip it carbonated in my month, turned into suds instantly. I had to shake it to be able to drink it. tmoreau (4883) - Lombard, Illinois, USA - NOV 14, 2017
Cool matte-finished, 12 oz. can poured to a Czech-pils glass at Lunar Brewing Co. showing a clear, straw color, with white foam that quickly diminished to a thin ring, and a few spots of lacing. The nose was dry, slight ripeness, with pear & skins, and moderate sweetness. The taste was similar, light to medium bodied, with lively spritz and finishing dryness that elevated the favorability of this pleasant pear cider (not Perry) over other sweeter and less carbonated versions that I've tried. henn (1) - Gloucestershire, ENGLAND - JAN 20, 2017 does not count
Beautiful from the fridge, couldn’t tell no added sugar! light sweetness, medium body, soft carbonation, ChadPolenz (1847) - Lakeland, Florida, USA - OCT 21, 2016
2015 BJCP Category: C2B Cider with Other FruitPartyFowle (954) - - SEP 22, 2015
AROMA: Light apple juice aroma indicating sweetness. Red apple presence; pear juice imparts some green tartness and hint of acidity. 8/12
APPEARANCE: White gold; crystal clarity. White foam fizzles away quickly. No CO2 bubbles. 2/3
FLAVOR: Apple flavor is more prominent. Pear flavor emerges on the second half as a slightly sweet juicy taste. Overall palette is medium. Brief tartness and malic acid in the aftertaste akin to candy. Works fine as an apple cider + pear juice, but is misleading if drinker assumes it’s a true perry. 14/20
MOUTHFEEL: Medium-light body; low carbonation. Doesn’t feel flat or watery, but more of crisp texture would be nice. Smooth and refreshing. Slight residual slickness. 3/5
OVERALL IMPRESSION: While not amazing, this is a pretty tasty cider with a bonus pear flavor. 7/10
TOTAL SCORE: 34/50

Bottle. Pale greenish hue with near-perfect clarity. Aroma is pear, red apple, white grape. Pretty nice flavor -- kicks off with sugary pear, followed by moderate tartness and a fairly dry finish.

It pours a very clear, very very light yellow color with no head. The aroma blends pears and yeast, and the taste is slightly sweet and slightly sour. It’s rather dry and crisp, but there really isn’t much to it. The palate, as expected, has a thin texture, light body, and a soft carbonation. Light pour. Nose of pear soda and cucumber--plus an unexpected potting shed sort of smell, chemical rather than earthy/organic. Maybe lobster water even, if I want to stretch the imagination. Prickly mouthfeel from the abundant carbonation. Very lightly sweet, some tart off elements, not a huge amount of pear or anything else, really, going on here. Not one I need to revisit.
Sampled on draft this cider poured an extremely pale clearish color with no head and no lacing. The aroma was tangy and sweetish pear and apple. The flavor was tart and tangy pear and green apple. long tart finish. Light body. Not good. radio_nowhere (1474) - Maryland, USA - APR 12, 2015
Draft sample at Cherry Blossom Beer & Wine fest, clear pale golden color with thin white head. Aroma note of fruity pear. Taste is also, surprisingly, pear but not as sweet as I was expecting. Light-medium body, moderate carbonation, sticky with sweet pear finish. I might have to check out more pear ciders. KansaiBeerLvrs (5602) - Kyoto, JAPAN - MAR 9, 2015
Brick Lane Tasting Set. Original Sin Perry 4.5% Earthy moss & pear in the nose in a light gold pour. The taste is cork & pear. Semi-sweet with a dry finish. Pretty Average.
