Orion Premium Draft Beer has a medium-to-thick white head, a somewhat hazy, bubbly, yellow-golden appearance, and a nice amount of lacing left on the glass. The aroma is of sweet, lightly-toasted barley malt, cracker, and sugar, and it has a very full smell- wonderful! Taste is of sweet, light barley malt, delicate cracker, sugar, a mild hop bitterness. Mouthfeel is light to medium, and Orion Premium Draft Beer finishes crisp, refreshing, mostly dry, and super drinkable. This is an incredibly balanced, almost perfect lager beer. I am stunned by it, and I think you should seek it out! RJT

Outstanding beer! Super refreshing and great all around. To bad its not availible here in the states.
Many times I felt like taking an 18-hr flight for a six-pac. Semper Fi!

Poured from a large bottle into a pint glass.
Aroma- this beer has hints of yeast, hops and malt that can be detected.
Appearance- beer pours a pale yellow that is clear and has a one inch white head.
Taste- A great hoppy flavor that has great dry finish.
Palate- a nice light body with a dry finish that is accented by the lively carbonation.
Overall- I may be biased since I loved this beer for years while stationed in Okinawa but I think this maybe the most flavorful Japanese rice lager. If it was available more often I would definitely drink it more in the States. Worldly99 (3) - Garland, Texas, USA - NOV 5, 2001 does not count
Not a bad beer at all. It’s a great beer to suck down on a hot Okinawan summer day. Definitely beats the hell out of other ’American Standard’ type beers like Budwieser. samparkique4 (59) - - APR 5, 2014
medium body, slick feel, lively, soft carbonation, astringent, long finish, medium sweetness, medium bitterness, medium sourness,

Rating against the other majors, not craft beers of course, this scores high. Light on flavor, but doesn’t feel cheap or fake. Done well, easy to drink. Nice aftertaste. mctous (131) - Herndon, Virginia, USA - OCT 31, 2005
Orion smells of fresh pale malt with slight hoppiness. It pours with good head retention and smooth, even carbonation. Its flavor is quite fresh and clean, and quite true to the pale lager style. Good Saaz hop extraction but not enough of them. Medium body, with a semi-dry finish. Many of the Ratebeerians must have had skunked bottles, because my sample rivaled the finest pale lagers. More or less the same as most Japanese beer; good for what it is, but not amazing. And like most Japanese beer, it has the kanji for "nama," "fresh" on the label. Certainly it isn’t stale... edden (925) - cow- lumbus, Ohio, USA - NOV 15, 2006

Lemon yellow body with a thick white head that quickly dissipates. Nose is slightly breadie. Flavor is light with a touch of lemon. Not at all skunked… which is always a plus. Rating by style, this is not a bad pale lager. This might not be my favorite style of beer, but after a long day at work it was much appreciated.
11.3 oz bottle. Aroma is the standard corn you’d expect with the faintest amount of spicy hops. Medium bodied with a decent balance. Crisp flavor with a mellow grassiness. I like that its not corn juice and it actually has a long finish. Not bad at all.
