Bottle from Tesco Galashiels. Nose is an interesting mix of dried fruit, spice and citrus hops. Medium to full in body, good malty flavours with an underlying spice/hop character. A pleasant seasonal brew!

Would have been a pleasant malty aroma were it not for the slight sour hint that’s impinging on it. Dry dusty taste, a decent bready body, but nice herbal undergrowthy hops. Alas, the sourness pokes through there too. Shame, clearly a nice quaff at its core, which has perhaps been spooned. Don’t get me wrong - I didn’t leave a drop, it was only a hint that I was prepared to overlook, as I liked the other aspects.
341 ml bottle poured at home. Day 23 of the craft beer advent calendar about two months late. Pours copper colour with no head. Smells like caramel. Tastes bitter with caramel and malt flavour. I like it.

Bottle. Pours medium pale brown with a thin brown foam subsiding average slow. Scent is medium dense Christmas fruit cake spices. Cocoa. Brown sugar maybe. Taste is woh sharp juniper? Dry herbal and slightly dusty notes. Early hops and ale yeast. Quite plain in flavor really. Good.

330ml bottle @ Matt’s. Pours a clear dark copper colour with no head. Nose hints of ginger, other spices, and some sweetness. Flavour is not pleasant. Cinnamon bomb with cardboard and a touch diacetyl finish. Not for me.

330mL bottle, pours a clear copper with a small white head. Aroma is earthy and spicy, with stale ginger, British toasted malt, and earthiness. Flavour brings out a stale ginger and cinnamon character upfront, followed toasted malt and dry earthiness. Tastes very stale and off. Crap. Cask at The Green Dragon, Leek (JDW) A clear amber colour with a medium off white head. Aroma of caramel, some bready malts, slight clove and subtle spicy hops. Taste of caramel, bready malts, nutmeg, cinnamon, clove and subtle spicy hops. Medium bodied and soft carbonation. A malty, spicy bitterness in the finish. A Christmas spiced beer which isn’t unappealing but not sessionable. It’ll do. Ferris (15013) - Burnaby, British Columbia, CANADA - DEC 27, 2016
Bottle - Spice and toffee with some orange. Clear copper with a decent white head. Caramel, spice and with a bit of an herbal note. thengling (48) - Saskatchewan, CANADA - DEC 26, 2016
330 ml bottle from 2016 Craft Beer Advent Calendar. Brilliant amber pour with red highlights. Small diminishing head. Malty grainy aroma with just a hint of fruit. Taste is typical commercial "winter spice" with a little nutmeg, some vegetal hops, slight acrid bitter edge, as of orange or lemon peel. A lot of character for a 4.3% beer, but a little off-balance.
