Cask at Charlie’s Bar, Copenhagen. A slighlty hazy amber beer with a thin white head. The aroma is sweet malty combined with flowery hop notes. The flavor is sweet malty with quite strong fruity diacethyl notes, and a very bitter finish - surprisingly bitter for a golden ale. oh6gdx (26485) - Vasa, FINLAND - OCT 31, 2015
Cask (backlog). Hazy orangeish amber colour with not too much head. Aroma is spices, caramel, toffee and some wooden notes. Flavour is caramel, toffee, zest, sweet fruits and some mild spiciness as well. Bitter with mild added spices in aftertaste. cgarvieuk (26082) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JAN 2, 2009

2nd December 2008. Clear brown beer - a small creamy head. Highly spiced beer! Lots of ginger and cinnamon. Not quite overpowering but unapologetically spicy and I would struggle to drink much of it. fiulijn (21399) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JAN 20, 2008

Hazy amber color. Strong cinnamon aroma (I don’t love cinnamon anymore, a reaction to living for some years in the Nordic, but it’s not bad). The flavor instead is dry, thin, with harsh cinnamon, poor. Not interesting.

Amber color. Strange Ale, quite simple, dry mouthfeel, light caramel flavor, and some manure aroma and flavor.
Cask at the Willow Walk (JDW), Victoria - 24/12/12. harrisoni (19412) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - DEC 14, 2014
Clear dark amber with a thin off white that retains well,
Nose is malt, dark fruit, touch of spice.
Taste comprises malts, dark fruit, bread, spice, orange.
Medium bodied with soft carbonation, bitterness in the finish.
Well balanced and drinkable but a little dull.
Cask handpull at County Hotel jdw Ashford. Clear dark amber colour lasting thin white head. Some spice on aroma. Spice and malt in the flavour. Finish has little hop presence. Condition is ok. Too much spice for me even though it’s not overly spiced. rlgk (18844) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - DEC 29, 2012

Would have been a pleasant malty aroma were it not for the slight sour hint that’s impinging on it. Dry dusty taste, a decent bready body, but nice herbal undergrowthy hops. Alas, the sourness pokes through there too. Shame, clearly a nice quaff at its core, which has perhaps been spooned. Don’t get me wrong - I didn’t leave a drop, it was only a hint that I was prepared to overlook, as I liked the other aspects.
Cask at The Grill, Aberdeen. It pours clear amber with a small white head. The nose is caramel, wood, ginger, nut and raisin. The taste is wood, Christmas spice (particularly ginger and clove), leather, earth, raisin, varnish, caramel and nut with a dry finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. Good balance and flavour. Nice spicy bitter!
