UPDATED: DEC 9, 2008 Half pint enjoyed in a perfect atmosphere at Guildford Arms where the ale was kept in good shape and served at the very right drinking temperature. Blended taste of roasted coffee malts, nuts and dark chocolate with accomplishing notes of dark fruits. Dry in the mouth. Easy to drink. Edinburgh, 23.10.2008. Cask - Wetherspoons, Canterbury. A dark brown coloured beer with a healthy and lasting deep tan head. Aromas are sweet and bready with some red berries mingled amid others such as caramel. Roasted malt flavours give a tobacco-like characteristic in the flavour department along with more dark, fruity flavours. Fairly mild in body, but a winner nevertheless. Pint pulled at the Sheep’s Heid some time ago. However, I still remember decent stout, though one that was typically unoffensive. Sure was a good pub. SaintMatty (7423) - Uppsala, SWEDEN - AUG 10, 2008
