On tap on the Isle of Skye. Pale golden body with a weak bubble head, Clear. Appealing but mild aroma. Moderately flavorful and mildly bitter. Hops build in flavor and linger in the aftertaste.

Cask at Wellington Arms, Bedford. Pale gold with a small white head. Only the faintest aroma: candy sweetness perhaps. Quite a pleasant hairy malt taste with a sour edge. Slight bitterness. Fair enough.

On cask at Cloisters. Pours clear as a bell, blonde with a thick white head. Aroma is yeasty with lemon, caramel and grassy notes. Similar flavours with lemon upfront, caramel and grass again. Quite citrusy overall with moderate carbonation.

Appearance - Straw colour, clear, frothy white head.
Aroma - light grape hop.
Taste - cereal malt, some bitter grape hop, bit of grass. Bland.
Palate - Mildly bitter, acidic cereal fininsh. Metallic sourness.
Overall - An only average golden ale spoiled by poor sour finish. Not good.
