UPDATED: JUL 3, 2005 (Bottle 50 cl) A beer that doesn’t promise too much - this is red indeed. Beautiful reddish brown, filtered with a small and vaguely light brown head. Very soft, almost sweetish with pronounced malty notes and a very limited bitterness. Some smoke in there too. Nice. 040904 Travlr (24841) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - JAN 17, 2010
Deep copper color with a medium tan head that settles slowly and leaves shockingly good lacing. Aroma of peat, oak and smoke. Flavors start with sweet malts and progress quickly to wood, smoke, dark fruit and light spices. Very drinkable, complex and interesting. madmitch76 (24807) - , Essex, ENGLAND - JAN 10, 2011

Red ale. Quite a malty start followed by a mid of hoppy bitterness. Not too dry, a nice appetiser beer.
