Aromas: Slightly malted accents like crystallized fruits, field berries, with subtle notes of biscuit and wood cask. Very discreet nose. Appearance: Average beige head, a mix of tiny and mid size bubbles, not lasting much and with no lacing. Color is medium amber and hazy. Attack is all bitterness and a bit salty. Accents are malty and hoppy. Bitterness is dry and cutting. Duration of bitterness is long. Malty flavors like biscuit, caramel, candy cane and cask are sticking out more than the hoppy flavors. Beside the dry and cutting finish, the hops flavors are not sticking out much. On se serait attendu à ce que les saveurs de houblon ressortent plus. Un peu déçu.

500ml bottle from Halles St-Jean. Aroma: intense pineapple and caramel aroma, a bit of pines and also tropical fruits. App: hazy almost murky copper with some lacing. Taste and palate: medium body, medium carbonation, medium sweetness, light bitter finish. Overall: too sweet for my tastes for a IIPA but didn’t have an issue drinking it all. Aroma really reminds me of a Dogfish Head 90 minutes.

Bottle from Sherbrook. Slightly murky orange amber color with a large long lasting tightly bubbled tan head. Sweet bready caramel maltiness with plenty of citrus and pine to balance. Seems a bit sweet and malty for a double IPA, but pretty tasty beer.

HKdIPA (754) - HONG KONG - JUL 15, 2015
Bottle after Rolling Stones concert in Quebec City at a bar. Translucent dark amber orange pour. Minimal but dense foamy head. Aroma of sweet tropical fruity hops and cereal malt. Hops smell good. Taste is big fruit hop bitterness with healthy cerealy malt to balance. Dry bitter finish. Very solid DIPA - not that big but tasty.

Classic ipa. Citrus and malt nose. Sweet and bitter; easy to drink. Who thought I would drink Quebec craft beer?! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

A mild aroma of dried fruit and hops, dark caramel colour, short lasting frothy white head. An interesting taste of fruit cocktail with a hint of hops, oily feel with a bitter sweet palate.

On tap at the Brew Pub in I’lle d"Orleans. Poured an amber color with a small sized off white head. Caramel, some toast, lighter citrus and lighter floral.

Gold pour, a thumb of head. Aroma is more malt than hop, fairly sweet. . Some hop bitterness but caramel malt takes over. Clean tasting, But double ipa was far from my mind when i was drinking this.

---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
