500ml bottle. The pour reveals a cloudy, brownish dark amber color with a thin white head. The aroma is mostly about maple syrup, there’s also some caramel and fruity esters. The flavor is sweet, as I would expect from a maple-flavored beer, there’s a maple presence along some caramel and fruityness. The body has a light to medium thickness, but the texture is boring. Overall, it’s an interesting beer.

Bottle; clear dark brown with medium beige head; aroma-caramel, sweet, spice, alcohol, dry fruits, slight maple, ; taste-light sweetness, medium bitterness, full body, thick feel, average carbonation, long finish, warming alcohol feel. Very reminiscent of a dubbel. Good beer but should be sweeter.

A good strong ale but the maple sirup taste is not convincing... Not that well balanced... But still drinkable!

Bottle 500 ml [2012]. Appearance: Hazy amber with a small beige head. Aroma: Sweet, sugar, malt. Taste: Sweet, malt, maple syrup with a slight bitter finish. Overall: A bit thin and not very complex, but not bad. Just miss a little something to be a very good beer. If you want a beer with a maple syrup taste, Dieu du Ciel Équinoxe du Printemps is way better.

[4284-20120207] 500mL bottle. Cheesy yeast malt grain aroma. Hazy, dark brown amber body with a quick foamy off-white head. Sweet heavy grain bark malt flavour has a hint of dark maple syrup in the finish. Medium-full body has quite a fizzy mouthfeel. Interesting balance. (6/3/7-/3/13) 3.2

2012-02-07. Hazy dark brown body, small quick beige head. 3+ Sweet aroma is malty and sugary with a bit of tangy maple. Flavour is similar, fairly sweet overall, plain sweet malty core has light bitterness and tangy sugary maple accents. Finish is a bit dry, ligtly alcoholic, this actually reminds me a bit of something that I can’t quite place. Almost quad like with a fruity not quite yeasty character to go with the sugars. Smooth average bodied palate has a modest carbonation but its almost champagne like in terms of the bubbles. Relatively simple, but pretty enjoyable. Much better than expected, alcohol starts to show more as it warms. Sugary sweetness gets slightly more cloying as you go as well. Bottle from Dépanneur Tout-Près, Levis

Odeur; une bonne whiff the sirop d’érable.
