From a 500 ml bottle into a pint. Pours a clear brown with a thin white head. Smells very strongly of maple, maybe also brown sugar. Taste is real MAPLE, all over my mouth, yet in very reasonable quantity, which rarely is the case with most French Canadian maple beers. Probably helps that this one has such a high alcohol percentage, as the alcohol definitely helps balancing the sweetness. Thus, very sweet, yet far from nauseating, very nice, thick texture and pleasant carbonation. Loved it. Definitely a different kind of tasting experience, yet I would not recommend it on a warm day. Aroma: peppery , slightly alcoholic nose with clean smooth maple feel. Good aroma.7+
Appearance: slight haze, clean amber brown. Mid tanned fine top. 3+
Body/Flavour/Palate: Mid full bodied. Sweet sugary, syrupy but not cloying. Profile of maple syrup was well presented. Balancing dryness of alcohol.
Eructoblaster (4328) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - JUL 26, 2011
Bottle - 500ml. Pours a hazy brown body with a thin off-white bubbly head. Well balanced malty/hoppy aroma with caramel hints. Alcohol is well hidden. Taste carries maple, and plummy notes and is relatively thin. Ends with a decent, warming bittersweet finish. Good effort. Sammy (12600) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JUL 22, 2011
Good sweet aromas, that’s where I got more maple than in the taste. Above average mouthfeel, buffeted by the maple. Decent drinkability and darkish colour.Bottle from marche Atwater.

500 ml bottle purchased at Paluso (Montreal), on March 20, 2011. Burgundy brown, small head. Aroma of malted barley a little spicy, hints of maple. Very sweet taste of barley, a few notes of maple, slightly dry aftertaste. This guy Louis, he seems to laugh, at this beer!

Bouteille. Boutip (6483) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - MAR 27, 2011
Bottle: Poured a cloudy brown color ale with a nice thick foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma consists of light residual sugar with some good notes of caramelized Belgian malt. Taste is also a mix of caramelized Belgian malt with residual sugar. Maple syrup is not a huge factor in this one. Body is quite full with good carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Well brewed with limited character. MXD (304) - Gatineau/St-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Quebec, CANADA - MAR 15, 2011
Pours brown, a bit murky. Close to no head. Aroma is yeast, sugar (maple) and malts. Taste is a bit syrupy -- too much emphasis on the syrup to be anything else than a dessert beer. A pretty good one at that, however. A hint of caramel and banana as well. Means it’s a sugar party. Rather clean finish. My beer was brutally undercarbonated. The syrup doesn’t seem to "add" to the beer, like some other (thinking of the Tord-Vis) does. It just means that the beer tastes syrup. sseb69 (1932) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - MAR 11, 2011
Bouteille 500 ml. 9%. Couleur brune brouillée. Mousse beige. Arômes de pruneaux, levures et un peu de céréale. En bouche, notes de fruits rouge, un peu sucrée, malt, orge. Le sirop d’érable est par contre très bien caché. Notes de cassonade et d’alcool. Bonne .
