Pours a stunningly beautiful deep copper, crystal clear, with an off white head. Toasted malts seem to be the overriding profile, here. There is a decent portion of hop bitterness in the background. Not a lot of hop flavor. Finish is cracker and bitterness. Not as tasty as it is pretty. slowrunner77 (12060) - Reno, Nevada, USA - JUN 29, 2016
Can. Crisp and clean with a nice hop bite and sweet leaning malts with caramel bread and cereal grain. Pretty nice, but nothing special. dfearnley (2147) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - MAY 14, 2016
Can to pint glass
Consummation: Sweet hoppy plum.
Adjunct: Hazy amber with a short lived voluminous white head; sweet and fruity aroma; robforbes (2245) - Bremerton, Washington, USA - APR 5, 2016
Pours clear with a white head.
Taste and smell about the same, citrus, hops, and caramel. Bill Becker (1042) - Casper, Wyoming, USA - OCT 4, 2015
Served cellar temperature from a 12 ounce can.
it pours a clear red with an ample had a foam about two fingers worth.
The smell has a kind of a spicy hop aroma with a solid malt backbone. I would describe the hop aroma is a piney like with slight grapefruit.
The taste well it’s very hoppy, pine with a low level of grapefruit, spicy hops permeate the flavors. The malt comes across as caramel malt sweetness some grain. The flavor from the hops create a really bitter note that last right through to finish.
The mouth feel borders on full with adequate carbonation on.
This certainly is a full flavored India pale lager that can fill you up pretty quickly so the drinkability is not off the charts but it’s very good.

16oz can@ trailer. Bright copper orange color with light tan head. Fruity, caramel, biscuit, marshmallow aromas. Smooth medium body. Lagered, lightly sweet toasted caramel, mild pit fruit flavors with subtle herbal hoppage___smooth clean finish---not bad. DuffMan (10436) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - JAN 12, 2015
On tap @ F.X. McRory’s, Seattle. Tawny amber with a thin off-white head. Toasty grains with soft fruity undertones, pleasantly full bodied. Better than expected. stevoj (5100) - Boise, Idaho, USA - NOV 4, 2014
Dark amber with foamy beige head, lively beer, close to doppelbock and dunkler bock for malt sweetness. And oh, that kick. Relatively smooth with plenty of alcohol warmth, grain/malt sweetness with a mild bitter finish. chuckstout (334) - Washington, USA - SEP 27, 2014
Looks like a malty ipa. Some what smooth quality must come from the yeast, but pairs a bit oddly. Drinkable, but probably won’t be drink in much of the India pale lager style Reid (2543) - Salem, Oregon, USA - SEP 9, 2014
16 oz can from Lifesource in Salem.
Pours a good looking deep gold almost light amber in colour with a huge eggshell white frothy thick head.
Sweet fudgey malts with an wgiff of grassy hop.
Smooth caramel and hop taste..very well balanced, malts win..this is like a bock or maybe a GREAT malt likka!
LIked the mouth feel on this ..thickish and creamy.
I have to say i liked this beer but it is not an IPL.
THis is however a great Malt liquor!
