Sample at Duck Island Saloon. Clear orange pour with a thin white head that dissipates quickly to an outer ring. Short strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of hops, malt and yeast. Medium-bodied with flavors of roasted malt, earthy hops and yeast. The finish is grainy malt up front with an earthy yeast aftertaste. Decent overall. slowrunner77 (12804) - Reno, Nevada, USA - JUN 29, 2016
Can. Crisp and clean with a nice hop bite and sweet leaning malts with caramel bread and cereal grain. Pretty nice, but nothing special. DuffMan (10664) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - JAN 12, 2015
On tap @ F.X. McRory’s, Seattle. Tawny amber with a thin off-white head. Toasty grains with soft fruity undertones, pleasantly full bodied. Better than expected. douglas88 (9622) - Portland, Oregon, USA - FEB 9, 2014
16 ounce can. The name of this beer changed. Anyway, pours a dark copper color with a medium white head. A sweet nose of caramel and citrus hops. The flavor is malty, clean, crisp lemon and orange peel, a bit of dusty caramel. Good beer. Quite bitter at times. after4ever (8025) - Mukilteo, Washington, USA - NOV 3, 2012
Draft at NCBC. Pours a hazy dark amber with a dense and creamy tan head. Lots of sheeting lace. Mild toast and caramel nose with some crackers and a tiny bit of mint in the background. Creamy medium body with lively carb, very firm and dimensional. Toast, nuts, crackers, grass, and mint on the mid palate with a savory finish.

trailer. Bright copper orange color with light tan head. Fruity, caramel, biscuit, marshmallow aromas. Smooth medium body. Lagered, lightly sweet toasted caramel, mild pit fruit flavors with subtle herbal hoppage___smooth clean finish---not bad.
Can:   Deep dark amber, large foamy sandy head, nice lacing, light to moderate carbonation.   Faint biscuit nose, pale breadiness, some mild grainy notes.   Imperial Pils.... really?   Rather biscuit on the tongue.   Has a hefty malt sweetness, some bit-o-honey like candy bar, with a touch of that grainy aspect I got on the nose.   Never would think of this as an Imperial Pils.   Not all that crisp, but it is clean.   Moderate to full body and mouthfeel.   A touch warming after a while.   Its like a big Amber with some aspects of some heavy Czech lagers.   Tiz okay, but gets to be a little cereal like after the finish.   Strange... riversideAK (6265) - Shoreline, Washington, USA - FEB 5, 2012
Nose initially of apple, toasted grains, a little fruity hops. Not overly aromatic. Pours hazy golden amber, thin head. The flavor starts with sweeter toasted grains, a little caramel, some fruity hops, and a little apple. Tastes like a hopped up malt liquor in a sense, which isnt necessarily bad. Did not make an impression one way or another. BrewDad (5667) - Olympia, Washington, USA - JUL 4, 2012
