Tasting at ChrisO’s. Clear amber beer, little white head. Light dry palate, crispy. A touch of dried fruits. Sweet apricot and peach. Light dry finish. A bit sweet.
Bottle 75 cl. Pours a clear amber with a tiny off-white head. Sweet and fairly clean caramellish nose. Solid malt base, lowish carbonation, hardly any fruitiness, rather caramel malts and pumpernickel making this one come out mostly as a Doppelbock! But a decent one at least. Quite some alcohol presence. 250213 Leighton (22577) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUL 14, 2013
Bottle shared at the ChrisO Flags of Many Nations Easter Tasting 2013 - London. Pours clear gold with a light, white film head. Sugary, bready malt aroma, hints of tangy berries. Big sweet flavor with light alcohol punches, very sugary bread, light toffee. Medium to full bodied with fine carbonation. Lightly sticky and sugary sweet to finish with bread and honey. Lightly cloying but not too bad on the whole. Theydon_Bois (20969) - Hazlemere, the lower Xhitlerns, Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - APR 13, 2013

Clear amber with a thin off white head that clears edgeward.
Nose carries pale malt notes, sugars, light caramel.
Taste comprises light caramel, sugars, light bready dough.
Medium bodied with moderate carbonation.
Ok - drinkable but wouldn’t recommend or re-visit!
Bottle from BevMo. Pours clear copper with a foamy off-white head. Mild aromas of malt and hop. Medium plus body with foamy carbonation. It’s malty. It has yeast/spice. It’s identifiably Belgian, but the flavors aren’t so crazy as many of those. It’s a good ale. Finishes a bit floral and mildly spicey. Note: the body thins as the carb leaves.
