COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
In the heroine Atalanta, we see the traits of what we aim for in all of our beers: piquant, deceptively robust, and a bit wild. A tart plum saison, Atalanta tastes of plums intermingling with spicy yeast, and a refreshing tartness that makes Atalanta as good for pairing with food as by itself.

Food pairing
Atalanta is mildly assertive, fruity, acidic, and dry. Its acidity and fruitiness make it an ideal complement to most cheeses and oysters. Its dryness and only mild assertiveness means it can also be paired very well with poultry and delicate fish, but it has enough flavor to also be paired nicely with a strong curry.

Composition
Hops: Newport
Grain: Two row barley, white wheat, flaked wheat
Fermentation: wild sour mash, French saison yeast

On tap at Taco Mac. Pours a hazed gold with a medium sized white head. Soft acid on the nose, a bit of fruit, musk, a hint of fuzzy yeast. Medium bodied, soft acidity, light and tart, gentle wheat and a touch of plum. Acidity is bright but subtle, tart into the finish, wheat, musk, lightly acidic. Quite drinkable. Very pretty.

12 oz. can shared by Tom - thanks again! Pours a hazy pale gold with a moderate white head that settles into a ring and film. Bright and lemony, with melon rind, white peach, grapes, sourdough, funk, slightly soapy florals, and a little bit of vinegar-based brine on the nose and in the flavor. Just a little, but undeniable when I noticed it. Medium-bodied, with moderate carbonation and a dry, tart, funky mouthfeel. My first experience with this brewery. Not bad.

Can 355ml (Beergium)
Slightly hazy yellow colour, small white head. Tart fruity aroma. Light-bodied. Mouthpuckering acidic tartness, some sweetish fruityness and perhaps plums are there lurking too. White wineous. Ok.

Śliwka - trudny owoc. Tu się udało, wyraźnie śliwkowo - slodkie, dzikie, pikantne bretty, nieco pestki. W smaku wytrawne, słodyczy niewiele, kwaskowe, owocowośc bardziej w tle dla brettów, pestki, przypraw. Charakter saisona zachowany. Baaardzo pijalne. Wychyliłbym kilka.

Not your regular saison. Super tart, on the sour side more like a gose. Very nice plum hints and a stronger finish. Very strong grapefruit citrus palate. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Alengrin (5438) - BELGIUM - JUN 28, 2017
Draught at BeerTemple in Amsterdam during Carnivale Brettanomyces. Snow white, medium thick, opening head, hazy straw blonde with greenish tinge. Aroma of lots of green plums indeed, grape peel, sour milk, raw pineapple, unripe gooseberries, bath foam-like soapiness, rosehip, sorrel. Tart onset, lemony touch but not overly puckering, lots of unripe grape and dito stonefruit tartness, touch of gherkins, medium carbon, lactic tartness with even a vague salty touch even though this is apparently not indended as a Gose, very soapy middle, bready and doughy, ongoing lemony and unripe stonefruit sourness, gherkin-like flavor remaining - probably caused by the plums - with a brief grapefruity note in the finish. Refreshing, well-made American sour ale.
