In contrast to all the others, the Orval Trappist brewery makes only one beer for the general public. It has an intensely aromatic and dry character. Between the first and second fermentations there is also an additional dry-hopping process. Through this the beer acquires its pronounced hoppy aroma and extra dry taste.
Bottled at 5.2% abv - can go up as high as 7.2%

Lots of bubbles, caramel color. Lively nose with sweetness. Light taste with long lasting flavor.

Extremely Effervescent. Strong Belgian yeast sour notes. Very dry. Notes of pepper. More Hoppy then most Trappist/Abbeys. In fact it was different in character and any other Trappist/Abby I've had yet. Not my favorite Belgium but very good. Second tasting; I knocked it down from a 4.5 to a 4. A bit too astringent for my taste ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle at home of this famous beer. First: nice shaped bottle of course. Cloudy orange color, big beige head, looks good. Something special in the taste, difficult to describe, but is a good special....taste also stronger than the abv (6,2%).

Final amargo. Muy recomendable.

Bottle. Hazy orange colour with stable white head off. Aroma of funky yeasts, sweet. Taste is semidry, yeasts, caramelized sugar, some fruits. Nice

0.33 l bottle. Light hazy orange-amber colour. Thick but low-lasting off-white foam. Dominant fruity (yellow-orange fruits) aroma, with a light herbal note. Light malty flavour. Low bitterness. Dry ending and medium-high carbonation make the 6.2% Abv seem higher. A complex, interesting and sophisticated beer.

VueltaBirrista (127) - Murcia, SPAIN - SEP 4, 2017

Bottle from Alko, aged slightly over 6 months. Hazy medium brown with strong nature white head. Leaves, barnyard and basement aromas from the yeast. Malty with unspecific fruityness, leaves grass and herbs. Full body with slightly sticky palate. Somehow this always associates with fish food.
