In contrast to all the others, the Orval Trappist brewery makes only one beer for the general public. It has an intensely aromatic and dry character. Between the first and second fermentations there is also an additional dry-hopping process. Through this the beer acquires its pronounced hoppy aroma and extra dry taste.

My favorite. A well balanced easy drinking yet complex Trappist. Cost aside, I would drink this every week if I could The Derricks ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours slightly hazy gold with bountiful head. Aroma is of Belgian yeast and gingerbread. Flavor is smooth with lightly spiced banana and malt. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Kolor: Pomarańczowy, mętny. Piana: W kolorze ecru, obfita, pęcherzyki od malutkich po duże, trwała i pięknie zdobiąca szkło. Zapach: Jabłka, cytrusy, nuty stajenne i typowe drożdżowe. Smak: W smaku przypomina trochę wytrawne białe wino z obecnymi nutami stajennymi i niską goryczką oraz lekko kwaśnym finiszem . Piwo jest mocno nasycone CO2, średnio treściwe.

33ml Bottle at a bar. Didnít see the age of the batch though. Just starting to discover and enjoy this classic masterpiece.

1 year old bottle. Hazy orange color with creamy beige head with very good persistence. Aroma has really nice floral notes, hay and some light barnyard funk. Taste follows, really floral with nice yeast notes but it doesnít get cloying at all, really easy drinking and somehow fresh in spite of the medium body. Smooth mouthfeel, no alcohol. Finishes with a good amount of earthy bitterness. Overall itís a really well made and somehow unique beer which deserves its praise.

330ml bottle, 6.2%, 5 months old. Hazy amber colour with a two-finger off-white head. Aroma: dried fruits, apple, yeast, hops. Taste: dried fruits, tart apple, spices, yeast, herbal, quite rich and complex, finish is bitter. Medium bodied, average carbonation. Really nice.

Bottle. Dark golden to copper, little bit hazy with huge, frothy, white and very solid head and good lacing. Medium aromas of dried frutis with significant farmhouse notes. Very dry but not watery, little bit sour with light bitterness in the finish. Extremely drinkable!

330ml Bottle: Pours a clear light copper with large frothy white head. Fruity aroma with a slightly sour note. Flavours of caramel, sour cherry and breadcrust. Medium to high bitterness, high carbonation and medium bodied. Overall an amazing beer. Crisp and clean with an incredible complexity.

Apperance brown/red, slightly hazy. Aroma has some yeastines and caramel without much sweetness. Taste similar balance. Dry end, spicy and more bitterness than most belgian beers. Nothing else quite like this. Well done!
