Artichoke (90) - California, USA - JAN 21, 2013
Cloudy, lightly sweet with a tinge of caramel. One finger head, not much nose. Aftertaste is a little cloying, no hops

MeadMuse39 (17) - Haddon Township, New Jersey, USA - MAR 20, 2017
Pour: Cream colored one-finger head. Body is Amber, rustic orange in hue. Nose: Smells like a forest in the spring time. Very bright. Earthy. Taste: Wet hay, grass. Bright, green wood. Dry finish. Mouth-feel: Very light on the palate, full flavored but does not overwhelm. Medium body, with pleasant carbonation. Overall: The mixture of bright notes and earth make this beer highly versatile in pairings. From the bright notes, I imagine any type of fresh fish dish, sea-bass, trout, or tilapia. From of the earthiness of the burger, I would pair this with any dish with mushrooms in it from stir fry, to steak topped with grilled portobellos.

maekchu (4054) - Hirakata, JAPAN - OCT 22, 2015
Bottle from Yamaya. Light roasty nose, slightly sour fruitiness, rhubarb, berries. Dark amber/brown color. Thin roast malt initial, small dark fruit, raisins maybe, fades into a bit of tanginess, and then a small bitter finish. Thin body. Interesting nose (a week beyond drink-by date). Uninspired flavors. Not terribly well made.

KyotoLefty (10675) - Kyoto, JAPAN - JAN 30, 2015
Bottle from Yamaya. Cloudy amber-orange, low head. Nose is faint, caramel malts and some stone fruits. Flavor is medium sweet, caramel, peach and melon, bit of mineral and grassy hop in the finish. Light and oily, thin body. Not very impressive, though drinkable.

Theis (15151) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - APR 18, 2013
Bottle (as Isetan Osaka Ale) at Kimi Ryokan, Ikebukuro. Clear dark red/brown - offwhite head. Roasted. Sweetness. Dried fruits. Nutty. Tobacco. Amber malts. Light sticky body. Fruity notes. Light hoppy. Mostly malty - higv malty.

KansaiBeerLvrs (5363) - Kyoto, JAPAN - FEB 11, 2013
Draft at the brewery. It poured a beautiful clear amber with a light brownish-white head. It was highly carbonated & slightly opaque. It had a malty fruity taste with a mild bitterness. A decent amber beer but not so flavorful.

omhper (25723) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - OCT 21, 2012
Bottled. Hazy amber, mid sized head. Fruity cellar aroma. Minerals and plastic. Sweetish with light body, some caramel before a tinny finish with low bitterness.
