Can @ Tasting. Pours a clear reddish. bourbon look-a-like beer without any head on top. Aroma has the funny combination of some bourbon oak, malty boozyness and citrussy, grassy hops. Flavor has some red fruits, sweet sugary malts and lots of bourbon oak. A bit unbalanced, one-sided, but still very enjoyable and nice to drink. Soft in carbonation. Cool, malty finish. Nice. Draft. An amber beer with a beige head. The aroma has notes of bourbon, caramel, and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of caramel, bourbon, malt, and alcohol, leading to a dry finish. Darwenus (1159) - Virginia, USA - JAN 1, 2017
There was a lot of novelty in this can of beer. It’s a blend of Oskar Blues Gubna Imperial IPA and Old Chub Scotch Ale, aged in Buffalo Trace Bourbon Barrels, and it was the first beer I’ve had in Oskar Blues new Stovepipe cans. It pours dark copper/orange color with average head. The aroma and the flavor both remind me very much of the barrel aged version of Arrogant Bastard, and from me that is a real compliment. It’s smokey, slightly sweet, with some strong scotch and molasses qualities, but there is serious hops fireworks going on here, too. The finish is a malt bomb in the best way, and the bourbon barrel comes through from top to bottom. Very good beer. blueshockey24 (649) - Colorado, USA - NOV 26, 2016
Can. Pours amber mahogany with tan head. Aroma is sweet malty toffee and bourbon. Taste is sweet malty bourbon with a sweet alcohol bourbon finish. Pretty good and suspect it will get better as it warms up. anders37 (27062) - Malmö, SWEDEN - OCT 10, 2016

Imperial pint can. Boozy aroma with bourbon, vanilla, caramel, oak, smoke and slight amount of hops. Pours dark ruby red with a thin tan head that has poor retention and lacing. Starts with caramel, bourbon and vanilla flavors with a rich mouthfeel and boozy mouthfeel. Finishes dry and boozy with oak, smoke and bit of hops at the very end. Not much IPA to this, but who cares, it’s a wonderful beer. Mad_Ferret (1025) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - AUG 10, 2016
Draught at Akkurat.
Clear deep amber/mahogany, short off white head.
Big load of sticky caramel and heavy bourbon on the nose. Some peppery spice and vanilla, dill crisps.
Taste is sweet with caramel, vanilla, fudge and some dried fruit, but also salty bourbon and dill crisps, fairly dry finish.
Big body, soft scrubbing carbonation, oily.
Just big and chunky in my opinion. Salty with an overload of bourbon. Stuu666 (14843) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - AUG 9, 2016
