COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed with hefty amounts of European malts and four kinds of American hops, it delivers a blast of hop aromas, a rich middle of malt and hops, and a thrilling finish. It weighs in at 6.5 % alcohol by volume.

Why squeeze such a big brew into a little can?

Because we think fun in the great outdoors calls for great beer. Our cans go where bottled beers can’t, where flavorless canned beers don’t belong. And no matter where you drink Dale’s Pale Ale, our can protect it from light and oxidation far better than bottles do.

Northern Brewer for bittering, Cascade and Columbus for flavor, and a big, post-boil addition of Centennial for aroma.

"Rocky Mountain Pale Ale" can poured into a cheater pint a: nice golden color, foamy 1/4" head with great retention. Sticky lacing rings the glass s: nose consist of light caramel, clean yeastiness, slight pine. Nothing overwhelming or overly inviting. t: Sweet Caramel backbone nicely balanced with the bitterness from the hops. Pine is the finish. M: at 6.5% ABV I would almost consider this an IPA, but the bitterness and hops are not overwhelming enough to do this. I think this beer blurs the line between APA and American IPA. Overall a nice beer

4-pack from LCBO. Man these cans are smaller than Trump’s flaccid old man hands. But unlike Trump, this beer has integrity, character & distinction. Beautiful deep brown pour with a thick, mushy cap of foam across the surface. This is the bench mark for an American pale ale. If you can’t build on it, why bother brewing it? The hops hang like monkeys on trees, with a rich malt base & surprisingly bitter finish. Boom. Great stuff.

UPDATED: APR 23, 2017 Just realized I have not reviewed this beer. Pours golden with a beautiful white foamy head. Smells resiny, piney, well balanced. Tastes bitter, hoppy, This is my daily driver beer. Not an IPA, not a heavy ale, the perfect beer for the grill.

Charakterne, wytrawne, solidne, nie mizdrzące się aromatami tropikalnymi, proste, smaczne piwo.

Can, 355ml. Clear copper colour with a small white head. Aroma of fresh hops, hay and citrus. Flavour has sweet malt, hop bitterness approaching IPA levels, some herbal citrus in the finish. Moderate carbonation. A decent brew.

I was beginning to get sceptical of these highly-rated highly-hopped American craft beers. However, Dale’s Pale Ale is a refreshing (literally) change. Hopped to an excellent balance that is fruity and bitter without being overwhelming, lovely and light on the palate. Smells and looks good too, if a little indistinctive. Definitely recommended.

A nice and tasty hoppy APA, with a bitter ending (slightly too bitter). I wouldn’t mind having more of these.

["Why have I never reviewed this before?" part 4] Can, 355 ml. Pours clear light golden amber with at least two fingers width of frothy, dense off-white head. Loads of visible carb, mostly small bubbles, and a little bit of patchy lacing. Head retains for a long time. Sweet and malty on the nose with a fair bit of cut grass and pine wood (not quite resin) coming through. Light touch of banana esters and quite a bit of clove and vanilla; making me think of a sweeter hefeweizen. Light caramel malt holding it all together. Taste is initially sweet and fruity with some blood orange and citrus, giving way to a fairly wood/earthy malt centre with lots of dense toffee, and finishing on a fairly sharp, slightly medicinal and resinous hoppy bitterness. Finish is long and wet with lingering astringent bitterness in the sides of the mouth. Body is medium, texture is smooth but quite thick, carbonation is a soft; fair bit of weight to it and not the easiest drinking. Good stuff.
