COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed with hefty amounts of European malts and four kinds of American hops, it delivers a blast of hop aromas, a rich middle of malt and hops, and a thrilling finish. It weighs in at 6.5 % alcohol by volume.

Why squeeze such a big brew into a little can?

Because we think fun in the great outdoors calls for great beer. Our cans go where bottled beers can’t, where flavorless canned beers don’t belong. And no matter where you drink Dale’s Pale Ale, our can protect it from light and oxidation far better than bottles do.

Northern Brewer for bittering, Cascade and Columbus for flavor, and a big, post-boil addition of Centennial for aroma.

(Can 35,5 cl) Courtesy of Storm/markgugs. Slightly hazy amber golden with a rough, off-white head. Fresh hoppy aroma with some caramel also. Medium body with lightly sweet karamel and a rather hoppy finish. Classical APA (more than an IPA really). 310807

Orangegoldene Farbe, ordentliche beige Schaumrkrone. Geruch fruchtig hopfig, leicht grasig, malzig. Geschmack sehr hopfig fruchtig, die Bitterkeit wird nach und nach mehr, etwas Pfirsisch und Aprikose, sehr lecker und süffig.

Had a pint on tap at Mudville 9. This is a great APA right here. Pours a nice yellow-amber with a medium white head. Aroma of bitter hops a sweet malts. Flavor has a complex bitterness which is slightly offsett by the European malts. Highly drinkable and delicious.

Hazy amber with an off-white head. Aroma is sweet, caramel and rather hoppy - peach and flowers. Flavor is medium sweet and rather bitter. Dry and rather bitter finish. 090711

On tap at the Black Squirrel, Washington DC, 5 March 2010. Slightly hazy amber colour. Sweetish but hoppy, with plenty of grapefruit. Borderline IPA in style. Good palate-cleanser after the choc frenzy of the Southern Tier Choklat that preceded it.

Koelschtrinker (21514) - K?ln (Cologne), GERMANY - MAY 8, 2011
Wirklich gut! 7/10/11/12/7/12

Canned is still good (the can to go for), but looses the freshness it has on draught, the body, the hopping.

Draught at Five Point restaurant, NYC, 2006-12-29, 7-4-7-5-15
Hazy amber color; thin creamy head. Nice hoppy aroma, with some fruitness (oranges). Some malt flavor, with sweet caramel, and good hopping with some resins. Good, balanced.

Can at home, thanks to James, 03/04/15. Clear amber golden with a well appointed cream covering. Nose is caramel, straw, floral, bread dough, light hops. Taste comprises sweet malt, caramel, melon, bread dough, orange pith, toffee. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close with earthy hop bitterness. Decent APA of the malt lead variety, good balance.
