COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed with hefty amounts of European malts and four kinds of American hops, it delivers a blast of hop aromas, a rich middle of malt and hops, and a thrilling finish. It weighs in at 6.5 % alcohol by volume.

Why squeeze such a big brew into a little can?

Because we think fun in the great outdoors calls for great beer. Our cans go where bottled beers can’t, where flavorless canned beers don’t belong. And no matter where you drink Dale’s Pale Ale, our can protect it from light and oxidation far better than bottles do.

Northern Brewer for bittering, Cascade and Columbus for flavor, and a big, post-boil addition of Centennial for aroma.

My first Oskar Blues product and Dale’s apparently is their bell cow. Can, of course, that is poured into a tulip glass. Presence is a medium amber giving a generous, almost white, foam, which leaves a decent lace sip by sip. I get a whiff of melon and grass. A very nice hoppy intro, just a touch of sweetness, leading to a bitter finish. 6.5% alcohol for an APA, not bad. Good start, OB. i will be back.

Can from a local Tesco, consumed at home. Dark gold, almost tawny with a loose white head which dissipates quickly. Massive resinous scent with lashes of mango and white grape. Taste is surprisingly bitter with a suggestion of sour. Notes of orange juice and dry Chablis in the finish, but there is also assertion of the biscuity malt. An incredibly intense pale ale, I’d love to try this one again sometime.

Big foamy off-white head very long lasting. Clear light amber, darker than a usual pale ale. Aroma is citrus hoppy and malty with some caramel. Hoppy bitter taste, citrus, grapefruit, some fruitiness (citrus, tropical) and malty. Bitter aftertaste.

Can from Tesco. Amber with a foamy white head. Soft fruity aroma, flavour is a little harsh: pine, orange, dry and bitter. Ok

Clear light amber color with off-white head. Aroma is quite malty and slightly buttery with some orange and earthy hops. Taste starts also slightly malty but then the hops kick in with earthy bitterness and lingers with grapefruit pith. Medium body and carbonation. Overall it’s a really well made, classic pale ale.

Tastes like a west coast ipa. Harsh pine, orange peel and floral, so many beers like this that I don’t like, must be one of the c hops

Can from J’s. Pours a clearish light amber with a finger of foam that dissipates quickly. Lots of pine resin and orange in the nose, bready malt and sourdough bread. Musty orange on the palate, citrus, good malt character. Medium body, well-balanced. Bitter finish with some lingering pine notes.

Nice Pale Ale, had it from draft at RRT. Golden color, not too heavy and not a bad aftertaste. A pretty good beer that is good for the fall ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Can from a Tesco in Edin. Pours quite a dark amber for a Pale. Clear. Wee off-white head. Fruity and floral aromas. A little melon. Light marmalade. Good amount of resin. Musky. Has a bit of a peppery heat on the nose. Buttery biscuits. Interesting and fairly fresh. Taste has a biscuity sweetness. Oily orange juice and grapefruit pith. Palate is fairly dry with medium-strength bitterness. Medium to light carbonation. Lasting bitter finish. Slick. Pretty punchy pale.
