COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed with hefty amounts of European malts and four kinds of American hops, it delivers a blast of hop aromas, a rich middle of malt and hops, and a thrilling finish. It weighs in at 6.5 % alcohol by volume.

Why squeeze such a big brew into a little can?

Because we think fun in the great outdoors calls for great beer. Our cans go where bottled beers can’t, where flavorless canned beers don’t belong. And no matter where you drink Dale’s Pale Ale, our can protect it from light and oxidation far better than bottles do.

Northern Brewer for bittering, Cascade and Columbus for flavor, and a big, post-boil addition of Centennial for aroma.

A definite go-to since it’s always the best-buy option when I hit my favorite market, which is loaded with tons of good beers. There are some nights, especially when I have to work the next morning, when I don’t want to get into sampling the latest double hop bomb blasts that line the shelves here in San Diego. So I go for Dale’s. 6 pack of cans, modestly priced. For what it’s worth, it’s a delicious pale ale, toeing the line to a crisp, understated ipa. Smells good, tastes good, lets me keep my head on straight and I can recycle the cans if I get bum broke. And now they have tall boys. Excellent!

Big caramel malt backbone support bright citrusy hops. Very well balanced and great example of an American pale ale.

Can: fresh hoppy American pale ale. It’s pretty classic. Clean tropical Homs and good malty note. Palate is rich and balanced. Solid pale ale.

Aroma: Medium toffee, grapefruit, pine. Appearance: Clear, copper body. Large, small to medium bubbles Good retention. Lacing. Flavour: Medium toffee, grapefruit, pith, pine, resin. Medium-high bitterness. Dry finish with lingering grapefruit pith. Mouthfeel: Medium body. Medium carbonation. Overall: A perfect balance. The moment it feel like a component is standing out too far, a complimentary component stands in to take the spotlight for the next few seconds, until another steps in. 355 ml can, poured. 18B. American Pale Ale

Earthy in the nose from a copper pour. Light mouth feel. The late late bitterness leaves an off taste otherwise very serviceable.

Pours gold with a frothy white head. Aroma of maracuja, citrus. Taste is mildly bitter with noticeable citrus. Body stays light, smooth, but is not watery. Okay

Powerful aroma of hops, and pours a golden brown colour, clear, with little head. Malty flavoring adds character but makes way for a clean finish that renders this beer a flavorful but refreshing option. Not bad. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

NikkTwist (3256) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 30, 2017
UPDATED: JUL 30, 2017 Draft at The Irish Pol. Clear deep orange copper pour with soft beige foam. Toasted caramel malts. Good show of hops. Mandarins. Fuller-body than expected. Bit of a weird aftertaste.
