COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed with hefty amounts of European malts and four kinds of American hops, it delivers a blast of hop aromas, a rich middle of malt and hops, and a thrilling finish. It weighs in at 6.5 % alcohol by volume.

Why squeeze such a big brew into a little can?

Because we think fun in the great outdoors calls for great beer. Our cans go where bottled beers can’t, where flavorless canned beers don’t belong. And no matter where you drink Dale’s Pale Ale, our can protect it from light and oxidation far better than bottles do.

Northern Brewer for bittering, Cascade and Columbus for flavor, and a big, post-boil addition of Centennial for aroma.

No real notes on appearance or aroma, as I just have to drink this from the can. Full bodied brew that’s nicely hopped throughout, but light enough to ensure a good drinkability. Mild bitterness in the finish. Update: Draft at Oskar Blues: Pours a fiery amber with a small white head. Great hoppy aroma jumps out of the glass. A real solid caramel malt backbone supports the hops in the body. A real nice APA.

Good beer. Not really my cup of tea. Ok. Little bitter. Needs to be very cold. Wouldn’t drink more than one. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

From Oct 2006 oured from 12oz can a hazy reddish gold with a large head of foam The smell is all kinds of hoppy with notes of grapefruit and some grass. There's even a touch of sweetness from the malt in the nose. The taste is big on hops up front with the grapefruit noted in the smell though the grassiness plays a minor role. Midway through there's a good caramel malt sweetness that offsets the hop bitterness nicely creating some really good balance but..the hops take over again near and through the finish. Other notes: the body on this pale is really good and the drinkability, despite the 6.5%abv, is very high for me. Bottom line: This is a great APA! 'nuff said!

Promising is appearance but generic tasting and not as enjoyable as other more earthy pale ales. As a friend of mine harshly put: "It's a dishwashing soap with a classical label".

Una APA cercana a una IPA, color ámbar, sensación alcohólica y mucho lúpulo y caramelo.

355ml can from Tesco. Pours a amber gold with a thin beige head. Aroma: Caramel malt, peach, mild citrus, pine notes. Complex aroma. Taste: Peach, caramel malt, citrus, mild floral flavours. Thinnish body. Mildly sweet, followed by moderate lingering bitterness. Quite tasty and easy drinking. Potent for a pale ale. Definitely a great pale ale!

355ml can. Pours amber, clear, with a medium head that diminishes slowly. Aroma is citrus and taste is well balanced with medium bitterness. Light oily texture with medium carbonation. Good beer.

Pours whiskey colored and mostly translucent with an off white head. Tastes very well balanced with sweet malt and mildly bitter hops. It's medium bodied with minimal carbonation. It becomes ver complex with floral hops, sweet almost honey-like caramel malt, mild bitters, alcohol and a hint of yeast. Nothing like a very well balanced beer, IPA.

355ml can from Beervana. Pours a hazy orange/amber color with a big white fluffy head that diminishes slowly. Aroma tends toward the hoppy side with citrus, orange, mango, passionfruit and pineapple notes but showing enough sugary hints from the malt. A touch of caramel makes it surprisingly close to an Amber Ale. Taste is extremely well balanced with a high dynamic range of flavors. Moderate bitterness and citrusy character leave enough space for the expression of tropical fruit flavors, bready malts and a tiny bit of apple tartness. Really good. Body is quite robust for a Pale Ale and with the mild carbonation plenty of character is delivered. Not a flawless beer but damn good.
