Poured from 16oz. can. Big hop aroma - floral, grapefruit, pine in that order. Solid amber, tan head. Very nice mix of hops in flavor and the malt complements the hops excellently. Mellows nicely as it warms to a great finish. I expected this to be outstanding and I was not disappointed. tmoreau (4365) - Lombard, Illinois, USA - AUG 25, 2012
On tap at Lunar Brewing Co., and snifter served as a DIPA would be, showing a hazed, orangy amber color, modest, soft white head foam that quickly reduced to a ring & film, but left a nice coating of wavy spray as lacing. The aroma was sweet orange in addition to a strong, piney scent. With a medium+ body and decent carbonation, the flavor exhibited hefty malt and bitterness that didn’t just attack the tongue, but filled the whole palate, while leaving a nice hop bite to linger past the finish. A well rounded and balanced, strong IPA. CPDalton (67) - Boone, North Carolina, USA - AUG 23, 2012
Tall Boy Can. Poured a dark orange, two finger off white head. Nose has huge estery scents with a nice sweetness to it. Taste follows exactly. Hoppy, fruity, and a nice malt sweetness with a little alcohol warmth. Medium mouthfeel. Good, not great. jjuf1853 (1302) - Land O Lakes, Florida, USA - AUG 23, 2012
Draft at World of Beer in Land O Lakes. Pours a slightly hazed copper amber color with a foamed beige head. Tons of sudsy lacing along the side of the glass. Aroma is bold with pineapple and citrus hops with some lingering sweetness at the tail end. Flavor is extremely hoppy for a single IPA. Alcohol is fairly noticeable as one would expect at 8%. Very nice if you are in the mood for a hefty dose of hops to awaken the pallate. jstraw (1967) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - AUG 21, 2012
UPDATED: AUG 31, 2012 Draft at Jerry’s. Copper with fair, creamy beige head / Mild, earthy nose of dark caramel, light brown sugar, and citrus / Medium body, sweet and somewhat chewy, alcohol well masked, with good balance and bitter finish / Flavors of spun sugar, pine, toast, grapefruit, and bubblegum / Not noteworthy, and overly sweet or else needs a bigger hop kick, but still a solid ipa.

pour is amber orange with a tight yellowish white head. The nose is extremely citric. Some biscuity malty undertones. The taste has more resigny hops, still lots of citrus and light biscuity malt undertone. Medium body, well carbonated, a touch oily. jackl (8071) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - AUG 21, 2012
Keg @ The Pony Bar UES. Pours deep amber, almost brown. Big off-white head The nose is assertive pine hops, a bit of dirt and sweet orange peel. The taste is fragrant pine wood, sweet with a big malt body to keep things in check. Resinous and earthy. Medium body, a bit astringent. Very good. zgaier (1951) - Coral Springs, Florida, USA - AUG 19, 2012
Pours a dark orange with an off white head and aroma of pine, citrus, and hops. Taste is bittersweet, with flavors of citrus, pine, grapefruit, and hops with a strong bitter finish. A lot of flavor and taste in this brew, very nice and strong for a single IPA jjgmd (2162) - Coral Springs, Florida, USA - AUG 19, 2012
Pours a dark orange color. Nose is sweet citrus and pine, and very pleasant.
Taste is heavy citrus , hops and quite deliciously bitter. Taste is well balanced with nice sweetness. Finish is bitter and lasting, drinks more like an imperial IPA. Nice IPA. Quaff Score 8 / 10 steview (1037) - Petaluma, California, USA - AUG 19, 2012
A hearty IPA with a big mouthfeel. Bittersweet, but also savory -- a little wood, a complex of citrus, as well as resin. Indeed, a tall can of this is something good to bring along for a festival or some camping. I’d like to hunt a deer. Skin it, have some meat marinade in it as I wade in the river nearby to bathe myself and wipe away the blood from my gear.
