Keg at Brewdog Shepherd’s Bush as G’Knight Brekenridge BA. Hazy red / orange, small foamy head. Aroma - strong bourbon whiskey reminds me of Wild Turkey and coke. Body is smooth, slightly foamy. Taste - liquorice allsorts, soft smoke, bourbon, less sweet than the base beer. Nice. Skinnyviking (9823) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - OCT 21, 2008
Draught. Low white but lasting fluffy head. Hazy dark brown body. Sweet whiskey caramel vanilla aroma and flavor and a fair amount of hops bitterness. Alcohol well hidden. Low carbonation and a long aftertaste. arminjewell (9744) - East Lansing, Michigan, USA - MAR 30, 2015
Pour on tap, dark brownish red pour with khaki colored head, aroma brought notes of caramel, toffee, dark fruit into a bit of oak, bourbon, slight pine note with a hint of vanilla, some slight sour grain. Taste was a bit of acidic malt, cola, some dark fruit into some bourbon, oak, into some of the hops with pine, touch of citrus, finishing slightly sweet, slightly bitter. 3fourths (9381) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - MAY 18, 2007
Draft at Max’s. Slightly cloudy golden orange colored body with a 1-inch off-white (almost pink) head. Fruity and sugary hops tasted, mostly in the back since up front it’s this doughy, bready buttery whiskey flavor that doesn’t really do anything for me. However, the whiskey qualities are quite light, same as in the whisky Ten FIDY. A little too buttery in the nose, and of course the whisky-flavored butter notes only get more pronounced as the glass reaches room temperature. Can’t say I was impressed by this one. b3shine (9347) - Indiana, USA - MAR 11, 2014
Draft to taster. Looks good; a hazy copperish orange with foamy off-white head that steadily dissipates into lacing. Smell has a BIG whiskey nose with lots of sweetness and notes of vanilla and a bit of hops that are pretty subdued by the whiskey. Light oak too. Tastes like it smells with an average mouthfeel. Good, but intense, and sweeter than I’d prefer.

On tap at bier thirty. Pours out a amber topped with a sand head. Nose is heavy bourbon barrel vanilla wood and lots of sweet caramel notes. Taste is more of the heavy bourbon barrel vanilla lots of sweetness and a boozy bite on the end. DJMonarch (9179) - Northwich, Cheshire, ENGLAND - NOV 19, 2009

Whisky and vanilla aromas. Some carbonation. Amber coloured strong in alcohol and smooth on the palate with a little bitterness and dryness in a full malt finish. nimbleprop (9044) - SouthWest, Washington, Washington DC, USA - AUG 14, 2010
Sampled at Churckey. Pours a translucent, purpley amber with one ring of white head. Nose is a good blend, a little medicinal, vanilla, oak, brown sugar, C-hops, soap. Flavor is sweet, caramel, brown sugar, soap, harsh whiskey without any alcohol burn, a little cherry. Almost like cherry cough syrup. Finish is medium bodied and a touch soapy. FROTHINGSLOSH (8362) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 2, 2015
Sampled on draft at 3R6P this beer poured a dark caramel-brown color with a medium sized creamy beige head that lingered and left great lacing. The aroma was sweet coconut, bourbon, vanilla, caramel and a bit of fruity hops. The flavor was bourbon, coconut, caramel, sweet fruits, a touch of bitterness and a bit of fruity hops. Long finish. Full body. Well done.

Backlog rating. Keg at BD Shepherd’s Bush tap takeover, London. It pours a rich copper color with small beige head. Aroma is sweet and lightly boozy, with rich resinous hops and bourbon notes, quite sweet with pine cones, citrus peel, orange marmalade, vanilla. Taste is sweet with more bourbon, vanilla, orange marmalade, citrus peel. Medium to full bodied with good carbonation. Overall, a sipper but tasty
