Pours murky orange brown with a thin head. Whiskey on the nose with a touch of hoppy sweetness. The flavour has a nice restrained bourbon sweetness with a bit of a floral hoppy bite. evergreen0199 (3565) - Northwood, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAY 20, 2014
Keg at BrewDog Shepherd’s Bush, London. An orange/amber coloured pour with a medium off white head on top. Sweet, boozy, caramel, vanilla aroma. Tastes similar, sweet, boozy, caramel, vanilla. Highly drinkable. Leighton (22814) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAY 20, 2014
Keg at BrewDog Sheppy’s Bush - London. Pours clear orange with a frothy, white head. Lots of oxidised malt character to the nose, toffee, stewed apples. Medium sweet flavor with rich bread, caramel, ripe apples, brown sugar, dates. Full bodied with fine carbonation. Warming finish with further aged fruits, creamy caramel and toffee, golden raisins, fruitcake. Rich, tasty. The_Osprey (9690) - Richmond, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAY 10, 2014
Keg at Brewdog Shepherd’s Bush as G’Knight Brekenridge BA. Hazy red / orange, small foamy head. Aroma - strong bourbon whiskey reminds me of Wild Turkey and coke. Body is smooth, slightly foamy. Taste - liquorice allsorts, soft smoke, bourbon, less sweet than the base beer. Nice. Marheb (6334) - Montréal, Quebec, CANADA - MAY 7, 2014

A little one dimensional in as much the bourbon dominates somewhat. There is a strange watery middle too. However, there is a nice fragrant quality mingling the booze and caramel malts. Pretty sweet too but the bourbon edge cuts that dry eventually. Keg at BD Shep Bush. Scopey (16266) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAY 4, 2014
Keg at BD Shep’s Bush (8.7%), as brekenbridge BA. It pours deep ruby-brown with a small off-white head. The nose is juicy, sweet vanilla, toasted coconut, oily, bourbon, toffee, butterscotch, varnish and wood. The taste is smooth, woody, bourbon, pine, varnish, toffee, decent bitterness, bourbon, alcohol warmth and a touch of citrus with a warming, sweetish finish. Medium+ body and fine carbonation. Pretty well rounded and drinkable stuff. Nice. b3shine (9260) - Indiana, USA - MAR 11, 2014
Draft to taster. Looks good; a hazy copperish orange with foamy off-white head that steadily dissipates into lacing. Smell has a BIG whiskey nose with lots of sweetness and notes of vanilla and a bit of hops that are pretty subdued by the whiskey. Light oak too. Tastes like it smells with an average mouthfeel. Good, but intense, and sweeter than I’d prefer. onceblind (10889) - Denver, Colorado, USA - MAR 10, 2014
(My version was aged in a Breckenridge Whiskey barrel) Cloudy, murky brownish amber, very thin cap head. Nose is a bit sharp with a floral/grass pollen note and something like windex with a very earthy rustic caramel. Taste was big on oak and whiskey char, with a backing sweetness of caramel and loads of dry hoppy windex-like tones. Thought I could get over that Windex character but its not very charming. Lots of malty oak tones cover it up the best they can, but that hop character mixed with whiskey just don’t quite work for me. drpimento (3814) - La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA - SEP 25, 2013
Geez, what a disappointment. Served at a good temperature with a thick, creamy, off-white head and loads of lace sheets. Color is a hazy/cloudy brown amber. Aroma (my snooter don’t work so well) is shave cream! Flavor’s a bit like nose, whiskey comes thru (clashes), odd bittersweetness slight tang, Body’s ok, but carbonation soft. Finish is like flavor, too long, and has off flavors. No aesthetic pleasure to this at all and gets a better score cause it’s OB.
