Pours a moderate brown color with a light brown head. The nose is strange but pleasant with notes of pine and citrus rind in addition to some pretty strong whisky notes. The taste is slight whisky and oak, and the hop notes don’t fit in there quite as well as they did in the nose. Slightly bit with some alcohol. Nice there. Drinkability goes back down, as this is just a bit strange and I’m not sure I really like it all that much.

Sampled at Churckey. Pours a translucent, purpley amber with one ring of white head. Nose is a good blend, a little medicinal, vanilla, oak, brown sugar, C-hops, soap. Flavor is sweet, caramel, brown sugar, soap, harsh whiskey without any alcohol burn, a little cherry. Almost like cherry cough syrup. Finish is medium bodied and a touch soapy.

Draft. Medium beige head atop cloudy copper body. Aroma is moderately sweet, caramel, some whiskey, light vinous, toffee. Taste is moderately sweet, caramel, grape, some whiskey, light vinous. draft at Brewvival. pours a murky, reddish brown with a thin, khaki head a tight ring of lace. aroma is excellent with big citrus hops, bold whiskey notes, and a touch of pine with notes of sweet vanilla, oak, candy sugar, and caramel malts. flavor was wonderful as well with huge citrus hop notes of orange and white grapefruit, grass, and spicy herbal notes with big vanilla and whiskey barrel notes leading to a boozy, but smooth bitter finish. palate is on the heavy side of medium bodied with light carbonation. overall, a damn nice rendtion of a barrel aged dipa. Nice mohagony color with some haze and a thin white head.
Great aroma of raisin, prune, light bourbon and sweet malt.
Full mouthfeel that is slightly cloying - not surprising from the massive sugars.

From tap at Church Key. Pours hazy dark brown with a small white head. Aroma is dark fruity and slight wooden flavorued. Bitter, dark caramelish and roasted malty. Wooden and roasted into a dry and dense malty finish. Dark malty. Lasting malty impression.
