On tap @ Falling Rock poured a hazy golden amber with a small lingering ivory head. Aromas of whikey, vanilla, fruittiness, light carmel and light oak. Palate was light to medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of whiskey, carmel, vanilla, fruittiness and light oak with a smooth lingering whiskey finish. BrockLanders (780) - Panama City, Florida, USA - OCT 9, 2008
On tap at Falling Rock. Cloudy amber pour...small off-white head. Citrusy nose...light barrel too. The flavor--for me anyway--didn’t live up to the aroma. Fruity, as mentioned by others--apple, sweet malts, whiskey. I drank it, but didn’t enjoy it as much as hoped. I’ll take regular Gordon over this any day. GABF 2007. A hazy pale golden beer with a thick beige head. The aroma is sweet with primary notes of whiskey, but also lighter notes of over ripe fruit. The flavor is sweet malt with lots og whiskey and alcohol, the latter burning slightly and warming the cheeks, it also has notes of caramel. TomDecapolis (4618) - Milton, Delaware, USA - FEB 27, 2008
On tap at Capones. Pours a milky looking brown with orange notes and a medium creamy/bubbly white head that left some lacing. Aroma of whiskey, vanilla, oak, citrus, tropical fruits some pine, green apple and grapefruit. Flavor of the same whiskey, vanilla and oak. The hops, caramel sweet malts are still there as well. The barrel did the Gordon good. JB175 (1665) - Bucks County, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 26, 2008
Draft from Capones - Reddish amber pour with a medium head. Aroma is solid bourbon and wood - bits of vanilla and roast too. Flavor is a solid bourbon assault - lots of wood and vanilla, some light hops, and burnt barrel. Nice mouthfeel. I liked it, but couldn’t say it tasted great as its a bit over-exposed to the barrel for my liking, at least for a beer like Gordon. Nice to try!

Draft. Cloudy/muddy ice tea color with frothy off white head. Aroma of wood, vanilla, and light citrus notes. The taste was the same with light caramel and whiskey notes in the finish. Massive lacing left in the glass. TheEpeeist (3709) - Media, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 20, 2008
On tap at Capone’s. Cloudy brown with a thin whitish head. Leaves lacy strands. Aroma very subdued; piney hops and barrel smoothed whiskey. Taste more dominated by the whiskey but doesn’t seem bourbony. A little too sharp when combined with the orange hop bitterness. Still pretty good. Some caramel, honey and vanilla come out as it warms. Medium body, mild carb.
