Clear light amber/dark golden with a thin but sticky off white head. Nose almost smells like coffee a bit, with some airplane airfreshener and light caramalts. Charming flavor of earthy caramel and amber malts with a rustic earthy tone, dry earthy toffee, bitter leafy hops, and that whiff you first get when boarding a fresh airplane. Interesting and tasty! Has a wee touch of light coffee in there as well. Tmoney99 (15126) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - NOV 8, 2013
Draft sample. Poured clear dark amber hue with medium frothy white head that lasted with good to excellent lacing. Medium aroma of tropical citrus hops and malt. Medium body with a slick texture and soft carbonation. Well balanced flavor of malt, citrus hops with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. Good drinkable brew. b3shine (9267) - Indiana, USA - NOV 7, 2013
Draft to taster at Dutch’s. Looks solid; a bit light for an Amber though. A mostly transparent light burnt orange with foamy off-white head. Smells of hops and sweet malt with a bit of caramel. Tastes like it smells with a pleasant mouthfeel. Good beer. DrSilverworm (10000) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - NOV 7, 2013
On tap at Dutch’s. Mostly hazy amber orange color. Thin off-white head. Good spread of lace. Medium-plus body. Smooth, crisp lighter carbonation, with a dry finish. Very nice, interesting hop aroma for an amber ale. You definitely get that unique fresh hop character from this. Some grassy, light spice, tropical fruit hop notes. Some metallic, bready, lightly toasty malt. Moderate bitter taste, minimal sweet. Good fresh hop and toasty malt character to this.
