Pour on tap at Parry’s Pizza, dark murky brown with thin tan head, aroma brought notes of caramel, vanilla, slight bourbon?, hints of roast, nuts, touch of earth and grass as well. Taste is a mix of earthy grass, some bourbon like vanilla, nuts, some cocoa, finishing sweet. Pretty tasty.
(Draught) Pours a clear amber body with a medium off-white head. Aroma of citrus, cocoa, nuts, and caramel. Flavor of cocoa, caramel, roasted grain, pine, citrus, earthiness, and grass. AxlLives (288) - Maryland, USA - NOV 5, 2012
12 oz draft - pours caramel brown-red with slight tan head, diminishing. Aromas of roasted malt, toasty nuts, caramel and little bit of chocolate. Taste is warm profile, malts, roasted, etc. lightly bitter finish. Ok if nondescript. strongpieman (1651) - Mount Airy, Maryland, USA - OCT 27, 2012
Draft. Cloudy caramel color, no head. Full body, malty, lots of carbonation for the style. Medium body. Good brown. onceblind (9418) - Denver, Colorado, USA - OCT 12, 2012
Murky chocolatey copper hue. Weird. Aroma was equally weird. Dank earthiness with some nutty toffee meets with a piney earthy bitterness with more grapefruit bitterness. The flavor was much the same, but with a booziness like it was barrel aged or something. Lots of grapefruit and pine bitterness with earthy nutty dirty toffee and doughy biscuit. Resinous boozy finish. Yeesh. Couldn’t finish mine.
