COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our first lager produced with the 20 bbl brewhouse. This pilsner is a clear golden color. Four additions of Saaz hops lend a spicy-floral hop component.

Can from Tesco - Clear yella body, firm white head. Nose has a delicate malt touch, with grassy, lightly piney hops, some hay and a hint of generic fruitiness. A bit sweet, with light biscuity malts in the back and a pleasant hoppy flavor of grass and floral pine notes.

Very good pilsner. Still tastes like beer, even though it is a pilsner. Always from a can with these guys.

Can from Tesco Extra, Longton. Pours pale gold with a bright white head. Nice light zingy pils. Refreshing.

355ml can. Pours bright gold with a medium head. Aroma is sweet lager malt and grassy hop. Taste has dry lagery malt. Stony finish.

Clear golden. White head. Usual pils aroma, grassy. Usual pils flavour. Not all that inspiring.

Pours pale yellow with a clean white head and touch of lacing. Aroma is butter, straw with very light caramel malts and hint of lemon and herb. Didn’t get much in the way of spice. Taste is quite sweet with some bitterness in a medium finish. More interesting than most pils, but too buttery for my taste.

UPDATED: MAY 11, 2017 Nose is yeast, butter, cereal, Nobel hops. Taste is butter cereal light medicinal hop. Full Mouthfeel. Good but a little too buttery

McWorta (1633) - LUXEMBOURG - MAY 9, 2017
Bright clear golden with a frothy lasting white head. Aromas of straw, hay and floral earthy hops develop with a hunch of fresh butter. Crisp, clean sweetness with a floral hoppy bitter bite to it. Finish is harmonious and a nice example of a classic Czech Pils.

Pas mal pour une pils. Nez très modéré et commun, pas engageant. Bouche plus maltée que la moyenne des pils, un peu plus ronde et aromatique. Finale sèche et sympa, bien désaltérante.

Little yellow can of filtered beer from Tesco. Nice use of Noble hops lifts this a little, but it can’t really compare on value, authenticity, and good meaty fresh malt flavour with a Czech lager. I guess if you live in the US and can’t get hold of genuine Czech lager cheap and fresh, then this is actually an OK substitute, but for those who live in Europe, there are better beers available in the local Euro corner shop.
