Our first lager produced with the 20 bbl brewhouse. This pilsner is a clear golden color. Four additions of Saaz hops lend a spicy-floral hop component.

UPDATED: AUG 29, 2010 Straw colored pour with a large white head. Smells of hay, grass, breadiness. Tastes biscuity and bready, balanced out with floral, hay, grass hop character. Light bodied. Fairly simple, but definitely the most enjoyable straight up pilsner Ive had so far. No off characteristics at all, and it lacks that odd, metallic lager yeast flavor most of them have.

Pours a clear pale light golden color. Aroma is of sweeter malts, fruit, some hops, and spices. Flavor is quite different than I expected. Theres some malts, hops, grapefruit, and bitterness. Leaves a crisp hop finish.

Clear, golden appearance with a thin white head. Aroma is slight, a little malt, but not strong. Flavor is light, refreshing and very clean. Some hops in the finish, and a little floral presence. Overall, a great summer beer, good alternative for the lake or beach than some other canned beers.

Tart and refreshing, easily drinkable. Is this possible, good beer in a can? Yes, sir.

Thick white head...and heavily carbonated. Nice golden color. Great summertime beer.

Slightly sweet and easy to drink session beer. 12 oz can pours well carbonated slightly cloudy lemon yellow with a thin white head. Aroma is mostly straw and faint caramel. A little skunk in the taste at first, but becomes more mellow as the beer breathes - just a light and tasty malt and hops blend. Finishes a bit gummy, but still good.

Dales other products are great. I think another poster said you cant win them all. It is basically a full bodied Budweiser. Oh well.

Served on draft in a chilled pint glass. Aroma was sweet with a hint of wheat & grass. Taste was very skunky with a not-so-smooth aftertaste. Id actually prefer Budweiser to this pils based on this one taste, and I really like everything Oskar Blues has done so far. Poured a nice golden head with a deep yellow/ gold color, and had mild carbonation. I am wondering if there was something wrong with the keg this came from, as a pils shouldnt taste this skunky.

Yellow with a good head. Hops are in the aroma with lager yeast. Good palate, and more hops in the flavor. A rare style done reasonably well.

12 oz can served in a tulip. Pour is slightly cloudy straw with two fingers of white head. Nose is light summer fruit, bubble gum, light hops, and light malt. Taste is very much the same. This is a fantastic pilsner, and I dont rate it like that often as I am not a fan of the style. Tons of flavor and subtleties, yet so light and wispy that it could be greedily consumed on the hottest of nights. Another fantastic offering from Oskar Blues.
