UPDATED: AUG 21, 2010 Sample at Oskar Blues Grill & Brew in Lyons. The beer is a mostly clear golden-straw color with a medium thin white head that dissipates to an outer ring quickly. Short strings of lacing on the glass. The aroma is alternatively floral and spicy with some fruity notes. Light body with flavors of mildly spiced hops, doughy malt and fruit., The finish is floral with a lightly hopped aftertaste. Slightly above average Pils overall.

From can. Mellow pilsner malt aroma, with light sweetness and some herbal fresh hops. Beany. Cloudy golden yellow with foamy white lacing head. Medium watery body, smooth with medium carbonation. Starts with light pilsner malt sweetness with some carbonic acidity and hop bitterness. Herbal hops taste at finish with medium bitter after. Nice unfiltered pils.

It has that nice effervescent pilsner backbone I’ve had in other pilsners but something seemed off balance with this brew. The grain character and hops don’t seem to mesh well and there isn’t a refined crisp character (more in the palate if anything). Easy drinker though but I’m not drawn back.

Pours a nice grainy yellow color. Mellow hop aroma with a hint of malts. Crisp clean hop bite off the palate. Very flavorfull, well bodied pilsner. Clean and tangy aftertaste, great summer quaffer. Wish this had a pulltab to bring back mermories of my dads beers.
