On tap at the Tasty Weasel. Appearance: small white head, amber color, clear. Aroma: sweet molasses, prune, floral, fruity. Palate: soft carbonation, medium body, smooth texture. Keg at BD Camden. It pours murky dark amber with a small beige head. The nose is sweet, brown bread, fruit cake, earth, brown sugar, malt loaf, and a hint of spice. The taste is smooth, brown bread, earth, dull toast, dried fruits, spice, touch of bitterness and grass with a dry finish. Medium body and fine, prickly carbonation. On tap at Home Made Liquids and Solids poured a clear dark tarnished copper with a small lasting amber head. Aromas of carmel, toasted malt and a hint of fruittiness. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of carmel, toffee and toasted malt with a smooth lingering malty finish.

filtered caramel colored body. primarily munich and vienna malts give it a slight honey sweetness while the yeast (dirty as always) imparts a slight tin metal flavor throughout. hop bitterness is low but not low enough for a marzen. simple, tends to the sweet side, needs better attenuation. damn shame it’s so forgettable. Draught. Brown with red hue, thin white head. Aroma of sweet dark grains, earthy hops, light caramel. Taste is light sweet grains with mild bitter finish. Medium bodied and pretty full for a marzen.
