Tap. Poured dark brown with an average tan frothy head that was mostly lasting with very excellent lacing. Moderate to heavy toasted sweet chocolate malt and coffee aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. Medium to heavy toasted sweet and coffee flavor with a medium to heavy sweet finish of moderate to long duration. Complex solid beer. alexsdad06 (10589) - West Chester, Ohio, USA - DEC 7, 2013
Draft at Dutch’s. Pours a dark cola brown color with a medium sized off white head. The aroma and flavor have good roasted malts, chocolate, black coffee notes, earthy hops, with decent bitterness and good body for a porter. DrSilverworm (9671) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - DEC 6, 2013
On tap at Dutch’s. Pretty much black color. Thin light brown head, leaves good thicker splotches of lace. Good complex malt profile, chocolate, roast, light coffee. Bigger body, smooth sort of chewy lighter carbonation, lightly dry texture. Easy to drink. Moderate bitter taste, light bittersweet. Very good porter. b3shine (9023) - Indiana, USA - DEC 6, 2013
Draft to pint at Dutch’s. Looks good; a semi-opaque dark brownish black with foamy mocha head that slowly dissipates into sticky lacing. Smells of dark malt, dark chocolate, and roast. Tastes like it smells with a solid mouthfeel. A little bitter, but solid nonetheless. Daytonbeer (730) - Ohio, USA - OCT 31, 2013
Pours black with tan head and nice lacing. Aroma of chocolate and soy sauce. Taste is awesome. Extra full bodied for a porter. Great balance between hops and toasted malts. Hops dances on the tongue. Semi-sweet chocolate dominates with some dark fruits.

Black like a moonless night. Light coffee scent. Coal dark coffee taste. The front bitterness almost hop but then fades to a strong coffee flavor. The rinse reveals the hop coffee bitter in a good way as the taste cleanses. Theydon_Bois (20184) - Hazlemere, the lower Xhitlerns, Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - AUG 29, 2013

22nd August 2013<>Brewdog Shoreditch. Opaque deep brown beer, little pale tan head. Palate is smooth and fairly light. Mild carbonation. The dark malt is not heavy and pretty easy going. No roast or bitterness. Touch of dark fruits. Very light malt cream. Finishes smooth and semi dry. All very civilised. Perhaps too much so. Scopey (15268) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - AUG 23, 2013
Keg at BD Shoreditch. It pours jet black with a medium tan head. The nose is earth, roasty, molasses, salted caramel and light soy sauce. The taste is roasted malt, cocoa, earth, toast, moderate bitterness, unami aspect and liquorice with a very dry, roasty finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Flavoursome and rather drinkable. zebra (2206) - Illinois, USA - MAY 3, 2013
