On tap at Tyler’s, Apex. Chilly afternoon post-game and a beer like this seemed just the ticket. Handsome enough look to the beer, but it wasn’t quite the thick and creamy brew I’d hoped for. Despite the thinnish body, it was fairly flavorful if a bit light on the roasts for the style (more rich and milk chocolatey). Decent.
(Draught) Pours an opaque black body with a medium tan head. Aroma of roasted grain, chocolate, caramel, and dates. Flavor of roasted grain, earth, minerals, lactose, and chocolate with a dry finish. DCLawyer (2914) - Falls Church, Virginia, USA - JUN 23, 2015

A touch of acid. Creamy supple body. Well-rounded stuff. Nice. mar (5440) - Dallas, Texas, USA - APR 25, 2014
