On tap at SLL tasting. Pours a clear dark amber with a lasting thin off white head. Aromas of molasses, dark fruit and bread. Tastes molasses, some mild dark fruits and nice bready malt finish. Medium bodied, light carbonation with a smooth finish. GarrettB (1733) - San Diego, California, USA - MAY 16, 2015
August 20th, 2013 - Oskar Blues’ Obliterator is a lovely brew with phrenology indicating there’s at least some Belgian Strong genes in its family history. Dark body, wood shaving colored head, and a lighter aroma pocked with dark fruits and dark cherry. But the flavor is more on the sour side, covered in a layer of chocolate and a velvet palate. The aftertaste is long, borrowing unsweetened chocolate notes from the foretaste, and decorating it with a hard-to-pin taste: unripened plum. On draft at ABR 2014. Clear amber brown with very little head. WTF not 11% tasting in the least. Big caramel bomb. Smooth, slightly boozy finish. Tasty. Sweet. Tmoney99 (15312) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - JUN 22, 2014
Draft. Poured clear brown color with an average frothy off-white head that lasted with good lacing. Good toasted dark malt and spice aroma. Medium to full body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy dark sweet toasted malt flavor with a medium to heavy smooth dark sweet finish of moderate to long duration. Good doppelbock. alexsdad06 (11561) - West Chester, Ohio, USA - JUN 17, 2014
Draft at Dutch’s shared by Tmoney99. Pours a clear deep copper color with a small off white head. The aroma and flavor have rich malts, caramel, toasted malts, dried fruit, some earthy bitterness, no real sign of the alcohol in the flavor, but it is warming. Sticky mouthfeel.

On tap at Dutch’s. Perfectly clear dark red color. Thin ring of khaki head. Leaves some loose dots and short ropes of lace. Good light spice aroma to this, works well well with the mild heat. Some cinnamon flavor. Lighter dark fruit. Nice moderate bitterness, light to moderate sweet.. Less sweet than other 10+% doppelbocks, the bitter balance is appreciated. Perfect amount of mild warmth in the finish. May be some light, herbal hop to it. Medium to bigger body. Smooth, kind of crisp, lighter carbonation. More dry finish. Some light dark roast, hints of chocolate. Impressive, flavorful doppelbock. Surprisingly easy to sip on. b3shine (9412) - Indiana, USA - JUN 14, 2014
Draft to taster at Dutch’s. Looks good; a fairly transparent dark caramel with thin light beige head that steadily dissipat into very thin lacing. Smells of dark malt and a bit of toast with a notable lager yeast presence. Tastes like it smells, but more robust, with a bit of sweetness and dark fruit. Pleasantly smooth on the palate, especially for the abv. Enjoyable. Marheb (6355) - Montréal, Quebec, CANADA - APR 1, 2014
