Draft at their Brevard Brewery served in a rocks glass; deep murky darker amber color with very thin light tan head. Aroma notes of whiskey, heavy malt sweetness, caramel, dark fruits, vanilla and oak. Taste adds softer bourbon hit, toffee, brown sugar and some earthy hops. Heavy body, low carbonation, creamy, rich with lingering malty whiskey finish. Huge beer almost border lining on too much, but in the end the whiskey/chub fight works out. Murky dark cocoa brown with a foamy beige head. Boozy brown sugar bourbon nose with sweet cake like vanilla and chocolate. Wonderful chocolate cake flavors with vanilla and coconut abounding, with lots of brown sugar boubon and sweet chocolaty oak. Outstanding.

This review is for the whiskey barrel aged version that was served at Hunahpu’s day 2014. On draft and poured into Huna’s day souvenir taster glass. Cola brown and clear with thin tan head. Smells of malt, whiskey, wood, coconut, caramel, and toffee. Strong barrel notes come on the taste with coconut, wood, and vanilla leading the way. Malt, peat, caramel, and brown sugar come mid-palate with moderately strong sweetness. Boozy burn on the swallow. Draft at Vine and Barley Palm City - pours dark brown. Smells of oak, vanilla, bourbon, and malty sweetness. The taste is sweet with a malty backbone, plus some bourbon flavor. Solid!!!

This one poured a medium brown with a beige head. Aroma was of caramel, toffee, bourbon, and dark fruits. Flavor was mainly bourbon and caramel, light toast and some cherries too.
