I'm not a huge vanilla fan as most are over the top but this one knocked it out of the park. Very drinkable!

Tap at Tasty Weasel. Murky chestnut brown with a bubbly beige head. Wonderful aroma of vanilla cake batter and Hershey’s chocolate bar. Flavor is wonderfully sweet with some delightful Hershey’s milk chocolate, vanilla cake, and a semi-dry finish of cocoa powder and biscuity chocolate, and more vanilla. Wow-wee.

Firkin at Sugar Maple. The beer pours to a clear dark mahogany body with a creamy tan head. Awesome lacing. Aromas of sweet vanilla candy with chocolate and sweetened condensed milk brownies. Flavor is sweet balanced vanilla and chocolate with brown sugar and molasses. Layers of complexity. The palate is silken and super easy drinking. Goes down "too easy". Smells like warm vanilla beans. Sweet brown sugar. Tastes a little smoky but not offensive. Very smooth and easily drinkable. Thumbs up rudolf (2360) - Buffalo, New York, USA - DEC 3, 2011
Vanilla, really rich malt, a bit of alcohol. Huge sweet malt. Stunning. Flavor is sweet caramel & malt, vanilla, dark honey, toffee. Fucking stunning. The only problem is that it’s too sweet. Still, amazing.

cask. I am not a huge fan of Old Chub but this one is a completely different beast. The vanilla just sings and the mouthfeel is decadent. thirdeye11 (6160) - Dallas, Texas, USA - APR 27, 2011
(cask at meddlesome moth) Cloudy ruby red/brown. Very few bubbles but sOme lingering. Nose of cola, raisins, light peat, plums, dates. Taste of very pronounced peat, raisin, toasty, caramel, and big vanilla. This is so smooth and awesome. Very easy to drink! jjuf1853 (1302) - Land O Lakes, Florida, USA - SEP 20, 2012
Cask pour at World of Beer in Tampa Palms. Pours a rich looking dark chocolate brown color with a thin tan head. Beautiful webbed lacing along the glass. Notes of roasted malt, vanilla, molasses and raisin in the aroma. Smooth and delicious flavor. The 8% is more hidden than the standard Chub. Very nice. jbruner (4734) - Marietta, Georgia, USA - JAN 16, 2016
Pours a hazy deep brown on tap with fluffy tan head that dissipates to leave good lace. Aroma of nice vanilla notes over the Scotch ale base. Taste is even more vanilla with a hint of coconut. Really pleasant. DrnkMcDermott (3099) - Downers Grove, Illinois, USA - AUG 25, 2012
Draft from firkin at Bavarian Lodge. 13 oz. goblet, $6.50. Solid brown with a minimal scrum of foam. A bit of warming alcoholic malt in the nose, too. Solid vanilla taste. Not overly sweet as in many vanilla-ed beers. The peat of the usual Scotch ale is lost behind the vanilla, which seems to be a fair trade.
