3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
RBAG summer 2012. From a 355ml can. Dark brown pour with a thin white head. Malty nose, caramel notes. Taste has big malts, caramel, light roasty notes. Some bitterness in the finish. Solid Scotch ale.
12floz, COD: 10.25.2017, $1.75 unit cost, pint glass. 'Ppears chestnut brown with a mighty foam. T'is here foam leaves its film behind as I consumeth. A lil' aroma gives off a general mild roasted character. Notable features are th' walnut and gently burnt (toasted) bread flavors. D'cent full bodied 'merican scotch ale, though I prefer the creaminess of the nitro. Unfortunately, it ain't been 'round these parts for quite some time. D'pendin' on the mood t'is could be be a l'il more favorable, or much less so like in the summer. ogivlado (8108) - Zagreb, CROATIA - NOV 7, 2017
Canned 355ml. -Nearly brown coloured, small to medium sized off-white head, caramel in the nose. Sweet malty, light caramel, toasty notes, touch of hops and odd meaty notes as well. Sweetish finish. There's something that I don't like here. ehaak26 (710) - - NOV 5, 2017

From 32 Great Power. In Teku glass. Watching Broken Mirrror 2x01. With pok cheese. Typical scotch ale well executed. Toffee with a bit of booze and smoke. However, nothing bothering, instead providing it some character.

UPDATED: OCT 19, 2017 An absolutely beautiful and smooth beer. Malty, and firm in flavor; an excellent companion to anything beef. VDuquerroux (1869) - Airvault, Haut-Poitou, FRANCE - OCT 11, 2017
Can 35.5cL. 8%. Purchase ("Biere-revolution.com", FR). Home. A sparkling black beer with mahogany hues ; big beige foamy head ; good retention ; ok lacing. Roast, light caramel, wood, bourbon?, dried fruity notes, licorice, alcohol. Medium sweet, warming, light dry, bitter note. Medium body, light silky creamy texture, average carbonation, sweet caramel strong finish. Overall, very good ! Reading the description, there are "beechwood-smoked malts" ; yes, surely smoky notes. mieszal92 (407) - Gliwice, POLAND - OCT 10, 2017
Poszło w aromacie karmelem, kandyzo outwanymi.
Slodkie, gęste, oblepiające. Alkohol świetnie ukryty jak na prawie 9%. Kawka, mnóstwo karmelu. Powinno poleżeć w beczce Cybuch (569) - Muszyna, POLAND - OCT 10, 2017
W aromacie karmel i rodzynki. Barwa bursztynowa, piana drobna, utrzymujaca sie. W smaku slodkie, brakuje troche gestosci. Na finiszu troche alkoholowe, ale nie przeszkadza to zbytnio. Goryczka na srednim poziomie. Przyjemne, niczego nie urywa.
