COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Old Chub is a Scottish style ale brewed with copious amounts of crystal and chocolate malts, and a dash of beechwood-smoked malts. While Dale's Pale Ale ("the best-tasting canned beer I've ever had," according to many brewers and beer experts) is a showcase of both hops and pale malts, Old Chub is a celebration of malts. The cola-colored beer features a dense, tawny head, a creamy mouthful and flavors of caramel, chocolate and lightly roasted malt. Complex and rich, it finishes with a whisper of smokiness that calls to mind a fine single malt scotch. Old Chub weighs in at 8 % alcohol by volume.

Pours brown from the can with a finger thick, frothy head. A sticky lacing clings to the glass. Aroma is earthy, caramel, chocolate, old wet wood. Taste is toffee sweet, malt-driven, with a very mild bitterness at the finish. Body is thick, sticky, full. Overall pretty good.

Perfecta combinacion de maltas, caramelo un toque roasted y un final ahumado y ligeramente seco. Aroma intenso proveniente de las maltas. Cuerpo medio alto, carbonatacion perfecta, espuma beige. Ejemplo claro del estilo.

Draft at the source. Pours clear dark brown with a frothy off white head. Lots going on in the aroma, molasses, malt, dried fruit, caramel, smoked herbs. Big round flavors of sweet malt, toffee, prunes, orange zest, cocoa. Medium carbonation, thick body. Lingering malty finish. This has become something of a favorite. PS the nitro version gets it done too

This on tap would be a beer aroma dream. It's super scotchy and strong alcohol flavor. Absolutely delicious ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
